Have you ever encountered my favorite Wiener?

The Oscar Meyer Wienermobile, that is. The first time I saw it was at March AFB back in 1979, and the driver gave me a wienerwhistle. The second time was last year here in Portland, when I was stuck in traffic right next to The Big Red One.
Have any of you ever seen it in person, or been lucky enough to get a whistle from the driver?

Yeah, I’ve seen it several times.
The last time was a few years ago, when it happened to be in a shopping center we were at. We were eating dinner, and by the time we finished, it was gone. I would have gone over to it otherwise.

My brother in Orlando sent me pictures of one driving down the road about a month ago.

Many years ago (late 80s-early 90s, I think), I saw THREE Wienermobiles driving single-file down the Eisenhower Expressway in Chicago. They were heading east (toward downtown) and I was going west. I briefly considered finding an exit and making a U-turn so I could follow them, but reluctantly kept going.

I also saw one in Madison, Wisconsin sometime during the 1980s.

Twice that I can remember. Once about 10 years ago on I-95 South on my way to Atlanta, and I passed by it that time a few years ago when it was crashed into a pole in Harrisburg.

Hot dog on a stick!

I just saw the Wienermobile this past weekend!

I have never seen it in person, but I have a wiener whistle so I think maybe my brother saw it somewhere and got me a whistle.

Pretty much every year as they usually have one or more parked at Brat Fest.

I saw one at a supermarket in Warwick, RI a couple of years ago. Got me a wiener whistle which I still have!

I passed the weinermobile going the other way on I-5 south of Portland a few years ago.
However I saw the Mr. Peanut NUTmobile parked in front of the Fred Meyers in Newberg just last month. I don’t know if they were giving anything away however, as I was in a hurry and didn’t stop to find out.

My husband (Andy L) saw it at our local supermarket (Maryland) many years ago.

I saw one just about a month ago. I was driving out of our neighborhood towards the nearest major intersection and saw it go driving past as I approached the stoplight. I didn’t get a real good look at it but there is no mistaking a Weinermobile.

I saw one the day before my wedding (8\10\96). I’m not sure if I’ve seen one since.

I’ve never seen it in person, but I may this October. I’m going to an Octoberfest in a small Kansas town. They have dachshund races, and in some photos and video from past fests I’ve seen the WeinerMobile in the background.

Never seen it except on TV.

My favorite is a dog.

It was here (Gillette, Wyoming) within the last week.

It made an appearance in my town a couple years ago, which isn’t all that surprising because we have an Oscar Mayer factory in the region. I was at a stoplight and saw it go by on a major road, presumably en route to the appearance.

Wienermobile anecdote: when I was at University, we had several valedictorians in our graduating class. And while they didn’t call out accomplishments and future plans for all 500+ of us at the main commencement ceremony, they did for the valedictorians. After several of them were announced to be heading off to law schools, top-tier engineering postgraduate studies, medical schools, the one with the biggest grin of all was…

Off to drive the Wienermobile for the summer.

That was a truly happy young man.

Yup, I’ve seen it a few times over the years. IIRC, they live in Madison, or at least did, I don’t know where it is now.
A few years ago it crashed into the front of someone’s house in the next county over from me.
