Maybe it’s my average endowment or maybe it’s their relative infrequency of use, or maybe it’s just blind luck.
I’ve never had a condom break.
I’ve seen them inflated to the size of a basketball and they seem John Wayne tough.
But - does the “The condom broke” excuse really have any validity or should I still do this :dubious: when I hear it?
I’ve pretty much always used condoms except in a long term relationship when I was on the pill. Never had them break. Lately I’ve been in a long stretch of sex and the condoms have never broken.
Maybe it’s a result of using old ones, or condoms that have been kept in the dreaded wallet and gotten overheated? Whenever I think of a condom breaking, I think of Rizzo and Kinickie in “Grease.” But then, theirs broke before they even got it on him because he’d been carrying it around since he was fifteen.
Happened to me once. IIRC, it didn’t go on quite right in the first place. I noticed when it broke, so nothing bad came of it.
Break? No.
Where in the hell did it go, um, I think I found it? Yes. Too many times.
I’ve had one break (actually tear down the length), to, thank goodness, no unwanted result. The brand was Trojan, and although I chocked it up to my using it past its expiry, whenever I think about that particular brand I get the heebie-jeebies. And no, I haven’t used Trojans since.
I think I read somewhere (on this board, maybe) about Trojans actually being more likely to break than others. Some condom thread a while back. Before that, I had always just bought (on the rare occasions that I did) Trojan condoms because of name recognition. I think I’d be more likely to avoid them now.
I’ve broken several health clinic condoms. They’re too rigid, IMHO. I noticed right away, of course.
ETA: You don’t use Trojans because you think you read somewhere that they might break more often possibly? :dubious:
Countless times. Usually right when I’m in the home stretch too. Dammit!
Certain brands break more than others I’ve noticed, and yes, I do wear properly fitting condoms.
Hahahahahaaaaaaaa!!! That’s actually happened to me! Too funny! …not at the time, though. The moment it happened I got that “hmmm, something’s amiss down at the corral” feeling. 
Now I’m scared. From a guy’s perspective, is it obvious? From mine, I don’t know that I’d notice–I’m insensitive enough so that I often didn’t realize when my guy was coming in me sans condom.
Condoms have a small but significant failure rate, even with normal use.
That’s why it’s generally recommended to use them with spermicide.

Yes, just 1 in my years and years of gettin’ it on. It was a Trojan. I have never used them since and never had one of the other brands break.
Trojans do have the highest break rate of any of the “name recognition” condoms on the market. I was given much information about condoms and their virtues when I worked at a store called Condoms to Go.
Yes, I’ve had a condom break. Several actually, then we switched to a different brand.
I know this could be an entire topic on its own, but yeah, it’s a noticeably different feeling, at least for me.
The first one I ever used broke. It was a Trojan Gold, IIRC. Didn’t realize it until after we were done. Can’t remember offhand if I broke another one, but at some point I switched from latex to the natural skins, which are a lot more expensive but never break (and also offer a more natural sensation).
Yep, though I don’t remember the brand. Plus a ‘Where did it go?’ moment or two after particularly long-term, vigorous sessions. Thanks Plan B!
