I was walking behind a woman here at work and she had her sweater draped over her shoulders and tied with the arms. No biggie, right? Well, the difference was that she had it “button-side-out” with the buttons buttoned. Is this a new trend I missed? Would you do this? Would you think it weird if I did it? I actually kinda liked it.
I’ve done that – not as a big fashion statement, mind you. When I’m putting my sweater over my shoulders, I put it as it is, and sometimes I’ll pull a cardigan off over my head without unbuttoning it. (I have one sweater in particular, kind of a vee-neck, with about 15 teeeeeeeeeny buttons – I don’t undo it just to take it off.) I may or may not pay attention to whether the buttons are face in or face out – if they’re large, bumpy buttons, I’ll probably put it buttons out as more comfortable (more padding between the buttons and me if I’m leaning against the back of a chair).
