Yes. Quantum of Solace, Leicester Square 2008.

Not to my knowledge, although I’ve swum in both the Atlantic and the Pacific. I’d get out of the water on the double if I learned there were sharks nearby.

Have you ever been to a Super Bowl?

No, but I have gone to a game that took place at the old Hoosier Dome, which used to host the Indianapolis Colts. It wasn’t a football game, though; it was a double-header in basketball. Purdue women beat IU women, and then IU men beat Purdue men, so all was right with the world. I also went to Game 1 of the 1999 NBA Eastern Conference Finals, in which my Pacers lost to the New York Knicks.

Yes! My daughter was a swimmer, initially on a community swim team, then on her junior Highschool team. When she was pressured to devote more time to the sport, she quit.

Yes. My ex-wife was American, and though we lived in Canada (where Thanksgiving takes place in October), she insisted on preparing a real American Thanksgiving dinner for us in Canada in November. Hey, I like such things, so I celebrated with her. Being in Canada, we both had to work that day, and on the Friday, but it was a Thanksgiving meal that we each looked forward to. Plus, we had plenty of tasty leftovers.

Have you ever lined up at 6:00 AM or earlier for Black Friday or Boxing Day shopping?

Sort of, 5:00 Am outside Wal-mart with my mother, two of my sisters and one brother in law. I was just the driver and menial help. I waited in the van while they waited in line and proudly led the charge to buy cheap TVs. Once the initial rush at the front doors was over, I strolled in to get breakfast at the McDonald’s they had just inside the door. I didn’t budge from there until they had finished checking out and needed help getting their spoils loaded. I had no interest in facing those crowds without a whip and a chair.

Have you ever bought something that you didn’t need just because it was on sale at a great price?

Oh yes, yes, many a time since unfortunately I’m a sucker for a sale. What I’m remembering most clearly now as one of my worst choices is a pair of ugly shoes that I wore maybe twice. They weren’t really that cheap either.
