Not really, but there have been some family arguments, and disputes at work, where I might’ve weighed in with my opinion but instead kept my mouth shut so as to help restore peace.
HYE been called upon to adjudicate a dispute, and the parties accepted your decision?
A couple I know stopped to pick up a six-pack on their way home to sit down and work out their divorce. I was drunk/high, sitting at the bar, and they sat down to talk with me. I don’t remember a word I said, but they credit me with saving their marriage.
Might I humbly request that people with “Yes” or “Sort Of Yes” type answers be given a chance to respond? Yes answers may give us interesting stories that I(for one) read these threads to see.
No, I was born and raised an Episcopalian, and - like George Washington, Franklin Roosevelt, Duke Ellington and Humphrey Bogart - have always been happy to remain one: Episcopal Church (United States) - Wikipedia
Yes. I’ve been on a float on a lake where they do some nesting. Happened to catch it on a good year. They are magnificent.
HYE drank water you weren’t very sure of?
Yes. I had no idea what might have happened upstream, but I was on a hiking trail in the Canadian Rockies, and was thirsty, and had gone through all the water I had brought with me. I was also pretty sure the the mountain stream by the trail was safe to drink from. I had a drink from the stream, and nothing untoward happened. The water tasted pretty good, actually.
Yep, Caribbean lobsters (no claws). They give you a glove and you reach into the cage and grab the one you want. I like them sliced in half and grilled.
Yes, I own one. It’s not used very often, but when I have someone else with me at the beach I sometimes paddle it past the breakers to fish, and a few times used it to drop off large baits and return to the beach and wait for a shark to bite. But I’m never really comfortable with it and prefer fishing smooth bay waters with my sit-in 'yak.
*HYE fed a live fish to a heron?
*I know you’re not supposed to but they are such persistent beggars that people do give in.
Oh, yes. Last time I was in the hospital, I hallucinated that I saw several professional wrestlers, including The Shield and Zack Ryder. (They didn’t frighten me, though-- I felt they were there, protecting me.)
