Hmm. Apparently, I need to start bringing my A game.
When it comes to Jimmy Joe, you gotta make like the Stones and ask “Can I get a witless…?”
This is a good start, Carol. Now try to imagine how it must feel for people who are *actual *victims of *real *oppression.
Oops… sorry. Scent excepted.

Carol is Cartman’s mom!
Truly, there is some fork-in-the-outlet level stupid going on here. It aint Miller, it aint me, it aint Bup, it aint the other people responding. I wonder who it is…
For what it’s worth, Carol’s schtick reminds me of turnspeak. The very act of coming to a message board and deliberately choosing a name that you know will make many assume (with good reason) that you’re a woman, and then using that as a pretense to pick fights just seems like a deliberate pretense. And, it wouldn’t surprise me if it has represented itself as both male and female.
I thought I remembered a discussion. In it, it claimed that it has a husband and has been married for 19 years, which almost certainly puts its alleged marriage far before what would be the most likely (but not the only possible) period during which gay marriages were performed. Of course, it could also be using language as a political device, and just like I wouldn’t object to my friend nevermore calling her partner her wife (even though she doesn’t). Since, after all, I believe that marriage is a seal upon a reality and not the reality itself, that common law marriage should be the norm and just because Texas doesn’t have a legal category for their union that their union isn’t real in thought, context and deed. ~shrugs~
So maybe it is a married gay man, okay.
But that doesn’t even begin to explain why a man would choose a user name starting with “Carol”, and then instead of accepting with good humor that it would naturally lead to assumptions about his gender… he’d use that totally understandable and predictable assumption as a springboard for causing controversy and accusing people of trolling. It’d be a bit like me flipping out if people assumed I was from Finland or liked James Joyce. Or Shodan going berserk if people asked him about the evil computer from System Shock. Or Miller going bonkers if people asked if he was named Miller in real life or once worked in a grist mill. Or Malthus flipping his lid if people assumed that he was a fan of the historical Malthus. Or Liberal standing on ceremony because someone assumed that he chose his user name because he identified with late 20th and early 21st century Liberalism as well as the left wing of the Democratic party.
Anyways, Carol’s dog and pony show puts me in mind of a slightly whinier, dumber, more obnoxious Pat.
And that was always my least favorite SNL skit anyways.
Thank you very much. Now if the rest of the tards can just STFU, we’d all be good.
Sad.
And thank you, Carol Stream, for accepting my apology. You can rest assured that I won’t make the same mistake twice.
But, FinnAgain, damn it. Are you calling me an idiot? Fucking hell, man, what you quoted from me was a joke. Am I the only one that’s seen Airplane?
“Surely you can’t be serious”
“I’m very serious…and don’t call me Shirley”
That said, my first post in this thread was asking for a link, so I think I’ll post another link that pretty much sums up my thoughts on this thread.
Stop trolling me, you fucking troll.
Don’t be so stupid!
Monkey with a gun isn’t trolling you.
Miller is trolling you.
Agreed. I just wonder where these jokers were this time last year.
That’s what *everyone *says.
Christ on a crutch, I go away for a day or two and all this happens? Whatever…
I reaffirm, nay… I *pledge *to continue mockery where mockery is necessary. Or funny. Or even the slightest bit amusing. Or useful to make a point.
The title of this tread I find amusing, and if anyone would like to pledge to serve me feel free. It won’t get you socialized healthcare, or a beer, but I might call you “stupid”. So if you’re looking for all three you should pledge to serve someone else. Someone like… I dunno… hmmmmmm… SATAN? [/Church Lady]
But seriously, no, y’all go about your business. I’ll sign off with the most memorable and inspiring moment from last night’s healthcare infomercial:
"Ask not what your Obama can do for you, ask what you can do for your Obama!"
Have you pledged your service to Satan today?
Try a coupla years, you never know!
This is the attitude that I am addressing. This mockery isn’t necessary, it’s childish. There are plenty of things that the left does and says that are ripe for ridicule, like Van Jones for instance, or Bill Clinton getting a blow job. However, on this board, where a sizable portion of contributors are abhorrent of any sort of deification, your stance is willfully ignorant.
If any of these applied to your mockery, I’d back you up.

I find your lack of sources disturbing.
