Nearing the (current) end of this thread she tries to derail the thread to take potshots at Guinastasia. Having been proven wrong via many cites and thus having nothing more to fuck up regarding her lack of knowledge of the subject at hand, she instead turns to personal insults about the members. That’s rich, her calling other people on the stuff she has considering she seems like a moldy, old bitch who has nothing better to do with her time then make all sorts of threadshitting posts on a message board. Crafter_Man takes the bait in that thread and extends his wide database of information (when he’s not drowning kittens, you know) on Guin. Namely that he doesn’t seem to have anything better to do either then hijack threads by taking jabs as well.
So a double pitting, if you will. Of these two morons/trolls who seem to add nothing to the boards other than trite, shallow, vapid, dick-ish posts. Idiots. I think Carol is suffering from a huge range of bitterness. I can smell it all the way over here. Oh, and jealousy too, can’t forget jealousy.

Probably because all she does is threadshit. At least some of the other trolls make interesting, if somewhat inflammatory topics – she rarely, if ever, posts threads of her own, and usually just makes comments to piss people off.
Now, if Guin is talking about any of the board’s lefties, I’d be quite surprised. She may have called some of the board’s lefties a troll at some time or another, but if so I’m unaware of it.
Around here all that’s necessary to qualify as a troll is to be conservative because to be conservative is all that’s necessary to piss people off.
So in a sense I guess Guin has a point, but so far being conservative is a form of trollery that the board’s administration still allows.
Nah, I’m pretty sure she’s a female. I seem to recall someone else (not me–I don’t care THAT much : p) looking up her posting history and making references to a husband and also using female pronouns when talking about herself. No, cite, sorry.
And she’s certainly never answered anyone when they’ve asked. Far be it for her to care about anything other than just attacking other members and being your basic troll.*
*and yes, she’s a troll. Troll is defined by “Someone who purposefully posts things to get a rise or reactions out of other people”. ANYone who has ever read her posts over an extended time or had interactions with her on this board should have no doubt she’s an obvious troll.

Carol Stream is exactly the sort of conservative that makes conservatives in general look repugnant to outsiders… I think most people want what’s best for everyone, but have different ways of going about it - but in Carol’s case, I think she just has a flat out antipathy towards anyone who is less successful or less fortunate than him/her. He/she doesn’t have a principled stand about what’s fairest or best, but actually takes pleasure in the idea of lots of people suffering because they had the audacity not to be among the powerful. You should be ashamed of the people who share part of your ideology with such motivations. I am.

As to the OP, I wouldn’t group Crafter Man in with Carol Stream. He has some pretty extreme opinions, but haven’t noticed him to be full of vile. He usually contributes to the threads he posts in, even if his views are unpopular. Carol is either a troll, or a horribly bitter, cruel bitch - or both - while Crafter Man seems like a decent guy with some pretty extreme views.
Yeah, he’s pretty much the right-wing Der Trihs. Extreme, irritating, but not necessarily a troll.
Carol Stream does nothing but threadshit. She (I can’t be arsed to worry about gender) never offers anything resembling a coherent argument or even civil discussion and instead only attacks and screams and insults. The only reason she might be called a conservative is because her favorite target is liberals.
Unless you’re Guin, in which case he apparently has plenty of bile, as well as speculations as to her real motivations, her medical condition, and her value as a person. That topic really uncorked some hate in him.
ETA: I think Carol’s favorite target is liberals because that way she can tweak the maximum number of people here. Not sure if she genuinely holds the beliefs she argues or just does it to fuck with the SDMB.
