I tried the Nacho Taco today. Had that orange powder all over my fingers afterward. Now I’ve tried both flavors.
I prefer the Ranch style Taco. Not enough to go more than once a month. But they are good.
I only went by Taco Bell today because they are directly across the street from Kroger. I left Kroger at 5:03 and wasn’t willing to fight heavy traffic to get something at another place. I did the Make a Run for the Border thing on the way home. Where is that dog anyhow? Haven’t seen him in years.
The Taco Bell chihuahua is dead now, but that’s not why it hasn’t been seen in years - it retired as TB mascot in good health.
Snopes has a informative writeup on it. Bottom line: Everybody loved the little doggie, but it sucked at selling tacos, and was fired.
In fact, that little bitch was an unmitigated disaster for Taco Bell, since they lost a $42 million dollar lawsuit by two guys who originally pitched them the idea for a Taco Bell chihuahua mascot.
They’re good (Haven’t tried cool ranch yet), but I still like the regular shells too. I’d get them once in a while but not all the time. I think it’s all just marketing hype.
My favorite TB are the chalupas with the puffy shells. If those were dipped in Dorito Dust I don’t think I’d like them. It would make them taste cheap and fast foody.
I go to Taco Bell once every week or two. I’ve never tried the Doritos tacos.
I prefer the regular tacos with just the meat, lettuce, and cheese. I don’t want any extra shit in there because it’s primarily just a medium for hot sauce. Sometimes I’ll get a Mexican pizza or a double-decker taco, but only because they can hold a lot more hot sauce.
I liked both and they’re the perfect size for lunch if I get a supreme. I PAY every single time, but it’s just one of those things I crave every month or so.
I was really, really ready to be cynical about the Doritos Locos Doritos, but then I saw that it’s not a new flavor, they’re just mixing taco Doritos with nacho cheese or cool ranch. I’m kinda want that.
