Have you voted yet?

If you’re voting by mail, remember to follow all the instructions precisely, since in some states, “naked ballots” get rejected.

I totally get that. It reminds me of the time I had jury duty and got to the courthouse and realized I didn’t have one of the many pieces of paper I was supposed to bring. I went to their little office to get the replacement then turned to go back to the jury room ,where everyone was filling out and handing in forms. They said, “You don’t have to go back out, we.can do it here - and I went through all the forms with them and filled them out over a cup of coffee - it was really nice of them because I was flustered by running late then long lines then forgetting the form. But I understood that they didn’t want everyone to know I got special treatment.

I dropped my ballot in the drop box at the local fire station earlier today.

Obama made a point to mention that too, in his speech tonight.

Got the ballot.
Filled out the ballot.
Took the ballot to the post office and dropped it off inside.

Early voting in AR started last Monday (19th). I voted today to avoid a longer wait during more popular times.

I was actually surprised at the number of presidential candidates on the ballot (13). I’m betting that 9, maybe 10, will collectively have less than 1%.

I voted early and even had-delivered my wife’s absentee ballot to the voting precinct as well. As much as I could, I left nothing to chance.

I think we had fewer than that, but I was surprised too. I guess I shouldn’t have been, but I still was.

I just dropped off my mail in Ballot it felt good to mark my fuck you to Trump and Cory Gardener.

Yes, if you are not that bright you might make a mistake on your ballot and your vote won’t count. Let’s hope it happens to more Republicans than Democrats

I just got my text saying my ballot has been accepted and will be counted.

In June, my daughter ventured to the DMV to renew our driver licenses, and we registered to vote at the same time. Since she planned to be back in Brooklyn, she asked that her ballot be sent there. Our ballots arrived HERE in Anaheim on October 6, so I called the registrar of voters, and was told that they would send a new ballot out to her. They hadn’t done so as of the 16th, so I had her call them herself. They told her that they had no record of either her original request, or my request for correction. So I went to the Post Office before work on Saturday, and sent her her ballot in a Priority Mail envelope.

She voted on Tuesday, and will discard the new ballot if it arrives.

I’m used to seeing little-to-no lines at my polling place, so even though I have to be at work at 2 p.m. on Nov. 3, I’m wrestling with the idea of just showing up in person.

Finally! I can make an official report here. Yes, I have voted!

Ballot received on Saturday the 17th. I filled it out on Sunday the 18th, dropped it in a drive-up drop box yesterday. No drama, no lines, no “poll watchers.” People were pulling in behind me, but no one had to wait.

Just checked the BOE website and learned it was received today.

Such a great feeling – I’m enjoying a glass of wine tonight!

(@Lancia, I’m so glad you voted for DeFazio. He’s in a tougher fight this year than usual. Skarlatos is a joke. Mini-Trump. I’ll give the guy his due for bravery on the train from Amsterdam, but good god, he’s been dining out on that ever since. Not a single qualification for the seat. He’s got a lot of (Mercer) money behind him, though. I’m worried for DeFazio for the first time in his outstanding career.)

Early voting started here just this past Saturday.

We plan to go either this coming Saturday or next Saturday, depending on when we’ll be in town while the polls are open.

One thing that irks me is when, say, there are six slots to select which judges you would like to see elected, but there are only 3-4 names to choose from.

I tend to write in my own candidates. This year, I advanced the names of Gilbert Gottfried and Al Yankovic

I just voted. Thankfully I’m not a registered Democrat because I live in Brevard County, so I didn’t get any emails from Baltic Proud Boys. I voted straight party line, and voted against most of the amendments because I think it’s too easy to make amendments, ironically voting against the amendment that would make it harder to make more amendments. I didn’t vote in any non-partisan office elections except the one where I recognized one of the names from signage and voted against them because yard signs are stupid.

I assumed it was people who read the thread but aren’t registered to vote in the US, and understood this to be a question about the US election. We have a lot of posters from countries other than the US here.

Thanks you, I should have considered that in my list of exceptions! Apparently 2020 has done more damage to me than I thought. :bowing_man:

With 11 days to go, the number of votes cast nationwide has just passed 51 million, or 37% of the 2016 vote total.

You would like it harder to get amendments on the ballot and passed, but voted against a law that would do that?
