Ah it was New Rockstars so quite possibly. HAWKEYE Episode 4 Trailer Breakdown! Yelena & Black Widow Easter Egg! - YouTube
As far as the “low stakes fun” goes, it reminds me of the spirit of the Ant-Man movies. Like the climactic battle in the first film where Ant-Man and Yellowjacket are fighting on the train. It’s got that same goofy energy.
For a little while, I considered that maybe someone made a second suit and had a fake Ronin running around to take out the competition, but that would take a lot: a whole new suit, a fancy sword, and someone skilled enough to use it all while the world is in chaos. Sounds implausible. I DO think by the end Echo is gonna be running around in the suit.
But he was desperate to own it, in the same kind of way that Clint was desperate to get it back. Maybe because The Swordsman was the OG Ronin pre-Clint?
It’s a stretch, maybe, but not impossible.
If there was a Ronin pre-clint - it would be nice to know that sooner rather than later - seems an important point.
Otherwise, Kate’s ‘soon to be FIL’ is going to catch the blame for Clint’s actions - and that’s not something that should set well with Clint.
Yes, I too enjoyed both those sequences. ![]()
And also both Ant-Man and Hawkeye care deeply about their families. (awww…)
That’s who he reminds me of! Thank you - that was driving me nuts.
Bear in mind, it’s not “Battle of New York: The Musical”, it’s “Rogers: The Musical.” New Yorkers who were traumatized by the events of the Avengers movie might still want to see a bio-musical about Steve Rogers even though it includes a lighthearted scene of that battle.
The Department of Damage Control, as per Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Something just came to me:
When would Clint have crossed paths with Pym to get the particles? He’s under house arrest following the events of Civil War. I can’t imagine that Pym would have come to the Ol’ Barton place to hook Clint up. I suppose it could have happened at Tony’s memorial, but there’s no indication of it.
And, on a hijack, a question about the first Avengers movie:
Onboard the airship, Widow goes to visit Loki in his cell. They banter, and Widow calls him a monster. Loki says that the Avengers were the ones who brought the monster. Widow realizes that his plan is to unleash the Hulk.
How? What was it that he said that she could use to deduce his plan? And what exactly was Loki’s plan had he managed to free the Hulk? I just fail to see what his endgame was (no pun intended).
First of all, I’m pretty sure the house arrest ended with the Blip.
Second of all, he could have gotten the arrow a whole bunch of ways. My guess is that Scott Lang asked Pym to make it for his buddy Clint.
CONTINUED: (2) 67.
NATASHA You’re a monster!
LOKI (grinning menacingly) Oh, no. You brought the monster.
Natasha lifts her head and turns to face Loki – her face is dry.
NATASHA So, Banner? That’s your play.
LOKI What?
Natasha begins to exit the room
It was his grin when he said it that gave it away. She played Loki just as she played the Russian at the beginning of the movie. His face when she guessed correctly confirmed the guess. As for Loki’s plan…well, he is an agent of chaos. My guess is that a maddened Hulk rampaging through a helicarrier would effectively negate any countermeasures SHIELD could come up with to deal with the Chitauri. Not the most complicated plan, but Loki really didn’t know much about Tony or Steve. He really only expected effective resistance from his brother.
Well, the real question is why did Loki assume they would be on a helicarrier to begin with, much less Banner being on it? Would he have even known what that was? Him assuming Banner/Hulk would be involved and getting Shield having to fight both Hulk AND the Chitari makes perfect sense - just like what he said to Stark in thier meeting “How will they have time to deal with me when they are busy dealing with you”.
After I wrote that - I started to think - How did Loki even know about Banner/Hulk?
I always assumed he got his info from Clint. As a top SHIELD agent Barton would be briefed on major potential problems, so Banner would definitely have come up.
As for the helicarrier…I think that was just serendipity. Loki was going to set off Hulk as part of his plan. Didn’t really matter where it happened. Plus, info from Barton.
He read Avengers issue 1. That’s where the whole Loki-manipulating-Hulk thing comes from.
So - thats what he was reading while in the cell on Assguard!
He’s a very slow, but attentive, reader.
Here’s a bit about Alaqua Cox. I think she’s doing great so far and it’s interesting that Marvel is planning on a whole series featuring her when she’s still very new to acting.
Yes, so far she’s doing well. I hope she can keep it up. I thought the actor playing her dad was very good as well, and I was disappointed that he had such a small part. The series is a big burden to put on a new actor, agreed. Something of a gamble.
It’s not clear how long after the Blip this is taking place, but presumably Clint convinced his new buddy Scott to get him some after the big battle. I imagine Pym is a little friendlier to the Avengers now that A) Stark is gone and B) They just saved him, his daughter, and his wife.
