but not for long.
I made a thread a few weeks ago about 400 cats that I get to play with. In it I mentioned a place North of me that has 300 cats.
Well, as it turns out, he had 700ish cats. So far 636 have been captured with many more scampering around.
It seems things there got Way out of hand. PeTA (no, I am not big into them) sent in an undercover helper and they filmed some awfully horrifying scenes of neglected and dying cats. On the website of the ranch, owner admits he doesn’t have the heart to put down sick cats.
I understand PeTA has their own agendas, but they didn’t fake maggots in the fridge, or the cat that suffered and died with a ruptured eye.
I also understand the owner did what he thought was best, even though I cannot for the life of me understand his "no adopting out " policy.
Look up the Caboodle Ranch in Lee, Fl. Be forewarned if you watch the PeTA video, it will make a lot of people upset. The video is a harsh contrast to the pics at caboodleranch.com
Steve Colbert did some filming there, and it seems everything looked fine then.
There isn’t anything I can do but fret over this, and feel bad. Maybe when the cats are adoptable I can be of use, but untill then I will be in my room hugging Szymon, Linus, Loos-e and Steve.
