Except it was poor-ass white people who moved in and perpetrated drive-bys and raped and assaulted and and trashed the place and stole shit from my dad’s store and crashed their shitty cars into the tree at the base of our driveway. On the other hand, the few black kids in town were polite and well-behaved (we had three, all adopted, in a 99.6% white town. All three consistently topped their classes honor rolls and kept their noses clean, because that’s all that was saving them from being discriminated against more than the usual idiocy.)
You’ve been given enough examples that it’s poverty and ignorance that drive bad behavior, not race. If you can’t see that, well, congrats on your apparently successful attempt to make people more prejudiced about redneck southerners.

Yes, I vote. Everytime there is an election. Voting is the last hardcore political right we have. All the rest have been regulated to the ash heap.
Yes, I’m registered. Republican. But it’s been a long time since I voted along party lines… I feel the GOP has abandoned it’s basic tenants, and therefore is no longer worthy of my loyalty.
I have voted Republican most of the time, except for when I voted for R. Paul. Bush Part II, meh, I felt betrayed. PATRIOT ACT I & II are offensive to me. Using fear from a horrible event to ramrod crappy legislation through Congress… meh.

I told you, I do not HATE. I have an intense dislike. There is a measurable difference between the two, at least for me.
The guy who raped my former fiancee, that guy I hate… THAT is a burning hatred that will never, ever die. I will take it to my grave. Hatred like that, that strong, is very dangerous… if let free, would lead to many bad things happening, which is why I keep it screwed down deep, where it can’t get to me or affect my actions.

No. Not liking people does not give me a warm feeling. 90% of the time, I don’t think about them whatsoever… they simply have no impact on my life anymore. However, when I am around blacks, I feel irritated, and sometimes repelled if their behavior is especially egregious. I usually leave the area, or avoid them.

I wish the *cause *for my dislike wasn’t there…
If most black people stopped their poor behavior (slinging crack, gangbanging, rampant crime, thug culture, destruction of neighborhoods/cities, unbelieveable incarceration rates, 75% out of wedlock birth rate, 50% dropout rate, eternal victimhood, insisting on AA, pushing for slave reparations, etc, etc, etc… ) I would have no problem with them, most of the time.

One more time, it is N-O-T hatred… there IS a difference. And no, I do not ‘treasure’ my feelings… to be honest, there is a conflict. Being raised Catholic, and being a Christian, I sometimes do wish that I didn’t feel the way I do… however, I think my feelings, for me anyways, are justified. I am as human as the next guy.
