I suppose he would prefer some classical music. You know. The kind the blacks don’t like. Kathleen Battle would be a good start. I think this link goes to one.. Do turn up the volume. She tends to me shy.
just as long as it isn’t your racist tendencies towards the aboriginal peoples of North America, I’m sure this would be a great debate for racism and racist stereotypes.
A coal burner is not a black person, it’s a white woman who sleeps with black men.
(Although my mother dated black men exclusively for the rest of her life after she and my father split up, that isn’t why I know this. It’s because my first serious relationship was with a man who had spent a decade in Arizona State Penetentiary, and had developed a serious case of racism - he introduced me to the term.)
And my unscientific observation is that the vast, vast majority of the very worst and most unrepentent racists are uneducated, frequently fundamentally unintelligent, and very often criminal.
Which makes a lot of sense once you understand what drives racism, which is self-loathing. " Well, I suck so bad I need to believe someone sucks worst than I do in order to get through the day."
I didn’t realize there were still 4 pages to read on this thread when I made my comment, and I’m sure someone else has already said it by now. I hate being a Johnny Comelately.
And I’m betting that his kids were pretty light-skinned, if he couldn’t tell his wife was black (biracial). And yet he’s still disgusted. What a stupid, horrible person.
I feel sorry for the kids but cannot muster much sympathy for the wife. I’m sure she knew how racist her husband was (or at least sensed he wasn’t all “we all the world” about them) before getting married. Even if she were self-hating, there’s no acceptable reason why you should get married to someone who hates people of your ethnic background. First of all, it’s dangerous for you. And secondly, it can dangerous for the children you might have, because not only will they have a monsterous pig for a father, but I’m sure his side of the family won’t be all-embracing either.
Or maybe the guy is just a liar about the whole thing. I prefer to think that’s the case.
I couldn’t resist making the joke. But that’s interesting about the attraction; I hadn’t considered that angle.
Incidentally, the racist stereotypes I’ve heard about black people are claims that they are uneducated, unintelligent, and criminal. Which backs up your post about racists being self-loathing.
What a coincidence. I’ve gotten an email from a racialist insider spilling their divide-and-conquer strategy and admitting that they encourage this sort of fake-traitor strategy. A sample message board post is even included looking strangely like this one.
