I am a Detroit vocalist who recently won at the Amateur Night Contest in Harlem at the Apollo. I’m so excited and still in shock to be perfectly honest! I will be returning to the Apollo theatre sometime in the fall.
I am writing to ask for your support in yet another endeavor. While in New York, I entered a Yodeling contest (you heard right!). Yahoo is looking for the next Yahoo Yodeler, I was one of three finalists for New York City and I need votes to make it to the finals in New York next month. How can you help? I need votes! Go to link.broken.com (Or copy and paste into your address window without the www) and place your vote for me (Ava Rodgers in the middle) for NYC. If selected as the official yahoo yodeler, I will receive $10,000 and the opportunity to do the next yahoo commercial.
Please lend me a hand as I am tired of being broke (I still would be but I could pretend!).
Pass this along to all friends, family, co-workers, anyone with internet access. Okay, enough with the shameless self-promotion.
Thanks in advance for your support
Ava
P.S. Yes you may vote more than once! Clear your cookies and proceed! The contest does not end until September 14th
Well, it’s against the rules and she’ll likely get in trouble/banned/something, but for what it’s worth I went to the site and listened to the contestants in her area, and she IS the best, IMHO. I voted and I hope you win, Ava
The other girl was WAY annoying and the guy Joe was too goofy.
Your post, so you’re aware, isn’t offensive but it breaks a rule here about posting about things that are for your financial gain, which is what you did. A mod will be along to explain, I’m sure, but it’s in the reg agreement, too.
Honestly you guys, I didn’t mean to offend anyone.
The other girl was beating me something aweful and I couldn’t figure out why so I searched her name on the internet. I came up with her on a message board … which gave birth to this brilliant idea.
This type of post is indeed against the rules, but seeing as how you have posted in another thread in a non-spamlike manner, I shall, just this once, spare your life. Go forth and spam no more.
