I practiced the art of the threadshit a couple months ago when I was but a serious n00b round these parts, but I’ve since all but given it up, as I respect the SDMB and the majority of its users too much to continue. But who am I to criticize? First off, I’m not trying to “pimp” shit, since that blog is dead, so your attempt at assigning motive is flat-out wrong. You said you liked it, I linked to my explanation of why I didn’t like it. So you can go fuck yourself with your dickhead insults about being a “hipster music snob”. If you’ll notice, I was the first one who responded to you with advice. I like Maiden up to Piece of Mind - the fact that I’m not a fan of their later work or a particular song doesn’t mean I’m threadshitting or acting superior. If it hurts your pussy when someone tells you what they think you should avoid when you ask for recommendations, the problem’s with you.
