The movie–1950-60s.
Set in Italy.
Romantic comedy? Drama?
I cannot recall.
The actress. In one scene, she is wearing white framed sunglasses with black lenses, and smoking a cigarette in a holder.
I am 99% certain this was not Breakfast At Tiffany’s .
It might have been Hepburn, but I doubt it.
I saw a cartoon online that sparked this memory. Wouldn’t you know it–I can’t find it now. (GRRR)
Any notions?
Only the SDMB cold ID this flick.
A link to an image of the actress in the scene I described would clinch the ID.
How could anyone confuse Sophia Loren with Audrey Hepburn? They were at the exact opposite ends of phenotypes considered attractive in the fifties/sixties.
No to both.
The girl was brunette to black haired, & the two for the road is too recent.
And Italy, plus using a cigarette holder, are both rock solid in my memory.
Audrey’s white-rimmed sunglasses are pretty close, though.
