Help Bosda Remember this Film/Actress

The movie–1950-60s.
Set in Italy.
Romantic comedy? Drama?
I cannot recall.

The actress. In one scene, she is wearing white framed sunglasses with black lenses, and smoking a cigarette in a holder.
I am 99% certain this was not Breakfast At Tiffany’s .
It might have been Hepburn, but I doubt it.

I saw a cartoon online that sparked this memory. Wouldn’t you know it–I can’t find it now. (GRRR)

Any notions?
Only the SDMB cold ID this flick.
A link to an image of the actress in the scene I described would clinch the ID.

It’s been decades since I’ve seen it, so I can’t remember the scene, but “Roman Holiday” is a movie from the times with Audrey Hepburn set in Italy.

Maybe, but I’m not certain.

Do you rule out Sophia?

How could anyone confuse Sophia Loren with Audrey Hepburn? They were at the exact opposite ends of phenotypes considered attractive in the fifties/sixties.

Could it be Grace Kelly in To Catch a Thief?

Or Audrey Hepburn in Two for the Road?

No to both.
The girl was brunette to black haired, & the two for the road is too recent.
And Italy, plus using a cigarette holder, are both rock solid in my memory.

Audrey’s white-rimmed sunglasses are pretty close, though.

On the Loren end of the scale was also Gina Lollobrigida. Not finding a relevant picture though.

Could have been Gina.
