Help finding a song

Gah… my comp… I have to type this up AGAIN.

Okay there is this one song I know I heard as a kid on my Dad’s tapes… he doesn’t remember it (he has a LOT of music and doesn’t remember all of it specifically)…

The song is a country one and it’s about this guy riding through the woods on his horse… he ends up at a cliff, stops there and gets off… standing there he pulls stuff from his saddle bag… the things I remember being a bible and a sword and says something to the world each time he pulls an item out the chorus always going back to riding through the woods. It ends with him riding off.

Now I am semi-certain it’s by Gordon Lightfoot or someone with a similar voice… but listening to Gordon as I have been downloading a bunch of his stuff I am almost certain it is him. Can anyone tell me this song? Name of it? And the singer if I have the wrong one?

Please… it’s driving me batty as I loved this song and can’t remember it… I had thought it was Minstrel of the Dawn but it wasn’t (I downloaded and listened to it) HELP!!!

Is it “Don Quixote” (Gordon Lightfoot)?

Here’s a page – it’s for the guitar notation, but also has lyrics on it. Maybe this is it?

Don Quixote – Gordon Ligthfoot

laughs I was just coming back to say I had found it… I went back to Kazaa and looked over what popped up again and saw Don Quixote and then I remembered the Tilting at windmills part…

Thanks so much Monstre! You gave it to me just as I found it!

I’m so happy! I’m not insane!!!
