Help, please. Spritle once heard a quote by Marilyn Burns that goes something like this:

Constantly testing our kids to see if they’re learning is like planting a tree and then digging it up every couple of weeks to check the roots to see if it’s growing.

However, I would like to have the exact quote. Can any of my fellow dopers find this for me? I’ll name my first born after you (except “Satan”).

Sucky part. I’m leaving work @ 4:30 EST - half an hour from now!!!
