Hi there, folks. I’m Steve. A friend of mine recommended this board as a good place to get random obscure questions answered, and I’ve got one that I’ve been after for a good while, if for no other reason than to prove to my loving wife that I haven’t yet gone crazy. For this, I need your help. (Probably all the help I can get, really, but this’ll be a good start.)
I swear I remember an episode of Laverne & Shirley that my wife does not believe exists. The main thing I remember about the episode is the opening sequence: the titular lasses running in the door dressed in heavy coats, exclaiming about the cold weather before stripping down to their skivvies for a laugh. Then something about the radiator being broken, culminating in the girls sitting on a gigantic block of ice in the middle of their apartment.
You’d think that would be pretty easily Googled, but I’ve tried to no avail. But, where my searching skills (and denizens of a couple TV-related boards I read) have failed me, my buddy assures me that you guys will come through. Can someone help me track down this episode? Thanks!

Okay, I may be misremembering, but it may be the episode called “The Tenants Are Revolting”. The description says the girls call a building inspector for some reason. He finds a ton needs to be fixed and Edna Babbit faces a huge fine.
IIRC, Edna turns up the heat in revenge or something. I totally may be misremembering, but I do remember shenanigans involving pissing off Edna and Edna’s revenge.
Pretty sure it was while they were still in Milwaukee, if for no other reason than it wouldn’t get cold enough in SoCal for the joke to work. If they had more than one apartment there, I don’t know which one it was. I’d ask the wife, who knows more about the show than I do, but…hence the problem and all.
Devil’s Grandmother, that’s it exactly. Thanks for confirming my fuzzy memory. No way I’m winning this one with anything less than an episode title, though. Once we start arguing she won’t concede that grass is green if I can’t find a reference for it, but then that’s what I love about her.
