help ID'ing kids TV show from mid-late 1970's

It was on Sunday mornings and it may have been called Wonderama, (or maybe that word is just stuck in my head for some twisted reason.) Anyway, I don;t remember much about the show except the following:

There were a bunch of kids on it (Well, duh.)

There was a dance/disco segment where they would have “the Disco Kid” bring out the latest hit record. This involved showing a tape of a kid in a cowboy outfit, complete with mask running through the streets holding a 45 record, and then it would cut to him arriving at the dance/disco thingee.

Then there was an adult who who go through this list of prizes that every kid on the show would get and the who would end with this same adult singing “Kids are people too.”

So, sound familiar to any Dopers?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like Wonderama to me.

Didn’t the Bay City Rollers appear regularly?

Exercise, exercise
Com’on everybody do your exercise

And 'though we’re young
We try our best
And do our thing just like the rest
Kids are people too. wakadoo wakadoo wakadoo

I remember this!

Sounds to me like it’s the show: Kids Are People Too
I used to love this show while I was growing up…

Was he the host?

Bob McAllister hosted both shows. The one in the OP sounds like Wonderama to me. Though I don’t remember ‘the disco kid’ I remember the host reading all the stuff the kids got at the end of each show. And ‘Kids are people too’ was a song on Wonderama before it was a show. I sang it in a grade school play (Oh the humanity!)

I’m pretty sure it was on Sunday mornings for 3 hours (7am to 10am). It had kids racing each other on such classic 70s toys as Hippity-Hop (a big balloon) and Big Wheels (plastic tricycle). There was also so old guy, Prof. Hinckle-something, who sang some goofy song.
