Ah, the wonderful lull between fall and spring semester, when classes are slim, hours at work are plentiful, and expenses are down.
I’d like to buy myself something neat. I’m thinking about an mp3 player or a really nice backpack or briefcase.
Price range is $100-$150. While I’m willing to splurge a bit (this is a good chunk of change for a college student!), I still want functionality. Have any of you dopers recently made any really neat purchases in this range, and are willing to share?
How about a GPS?
I recently bought a MuVo and I love it. It costs about $150 for the 128MB version.
The Dell Axim is currently about $160 w/ coupon, and appears to be a damn good PDA that can also play MP3s and (PPC?) DIVX files.
I suggest an envelope. Then put the $150 in there and save it for when you know exactly what you want. Concert tickets or groceries in a short $$$ month immediately come to mind.
