Help me decorate my cubby - Christmastime in the City

I am looking to the creative dopers for some decorating ideas to help me win a Christmas Decorating contest. My office’s theme is “Winter Wonderland” and my idea is “Christmastime in the City”. I am going to do a cardboard Cityscape along the walls, fake snow – batting of course, some silver bells too.

Anything else? I need to incorporate my desk and chair; as well as maybe some type of giveaway (for example one of the ladies is doing a ski chalet and is giving away hot chocolate).

Why not go with Christmastime in THE city and incorporate some theatre marques in your design? I can e-mail you some photos taken in last January’s blizzard if you need them

My mom has one of these tabletop skating rinks. Incredibly annoying with tinny non-spot carols… Maybe you could make your own Rockefeller Center, with a little tree, aluminum foil, fake snow, itty bitty skaters, etc?

How about doing your chair up like Santa’s throne, with red velvet and maybe gold around the edges?

Do you have one of those floor protector mats under your chair? Maybe you could put paper and tinfoil “ice skates” on your chair.
