Help me figure out where this song is from (instrumental sample only)

That melody is very familiar to me, but I have no idea where I’ve heard it before.

It kind of sounds like the guitar riff of “Are You Gonna Go My Way” by Lenny Kravitz. Kind of.

I didn’t find an exact match, but it sounds a lot like the music Jean-Luc Ponty has been doing for the last few years. Listen to samples from here and you’ll see what I mean.

Thanks for the link. That’s some pleasant music, but I’m thinking this song specifically is on a film soundtrack as well. At least, that’s my best guess as to where I may have heard it before.

The strings are a garageband preset loop, so I’m assuming it’s just filler music done with garageband.
