I received a notice that my “.ca” domain name is about to expire, and needs to be renewed.
However, I haven’t been impressed by the service at my current provider. My website doesn’t always load. When it does, pictures and writing are often garbled. I want to change providers.
Who’s good, cheap, and can renew my .ca domain for me? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
I’ve used Dreamhost in the past, and as for reliability, there are actual some smaller web companies that use it for their entire client hosting. Real friendly folks.
A Small Orange is also in the cheaper range and was getting attention in web circles a few years ago. I had a site with them for a few months and was satisfied with the service.
Media Temple is another big provider, so they have to have reliability as a priority. I haven’t hosted anything with them personally, but I’ve had to do a couple of things for clients who hosted with them and had no problems. Tech support is pretty good.
Seconding Dreamhost. I’ve used and loved them for years.
Not sure about the .CA domain, but I suppose you can always renew it yourself and set up Dreamhost to work with it.
