help me find an old computer game "The Golden Talisman"

Back in the 80’s I had a Commodore 64 computer game called The Golden Talisman. It was kind of like Pitfall 2 or Montezuma’s Revenge. It was a 2-d side scrolling platform game. You had to explore a huge underground tomb/dungeon-like structure.
I got it in a box of discs that I traded with a friend, so I don’t know if it was commercially released or not. I remember something on the title screen to the effect that it was created by a college student, but I don’t remember which college it was. It was a commercial quality game, and I remember it being pretty fun, although I didn’t get too far into it (I wound up selling my C64 to someone and getting a Commodore Amiga).
I’d love to be able to play this game today and see if my memories hold up. But searches have proven fruitless and usually lead me to “the Talisman”, a card game currently available on Steam. Can anyone strong in the Google-Fu find any information about this game? A ROM or flash version would be super awesome, but even some basic information, screenies, etc, would be welcome.

Moby Games is the best place to look for information on any 8-bit era computer game, and they’ve got an entry for Hero of the Golden Talisman.

That is it! Thank you! Now that I have some info on it, hopefully I can get a playable copy. I have a C64 I bought on ebay, but it will not connect to either of the televisions that I own.

Rather than use an actual C64, you might be better using an emulator. I’ve not used any C64 one, so I can’t recommend any in particular, but any PC built this century has more than enough power to emulate 8-bit machines. Hell, I use CPCBox to emulate the Amstrad, and that runs in a browser.

There are copies of the game available on eBay:
