Err…self-explanatory subject line matter. IS there anything that will fade bruises faster? Sure, I know it’s broken blood vessels? But anything?
I’m a woman, so it’s not as cool as if I were a Fight Club member, if you know what I mean.
I do a decent job with makeup, but if anyone has other suggestions, I’ll be very grateful.

Please tell us it’s not from spousal abuse?
It’s not. But I’d still like to hide it. Actually, much of the reason I’d like to hide it is to avoid just this question. Particularly being married to a “just off the boat” irish man.
It was a self-inflicted stupidity.
Makeup, sunglasses and an amusing story is all I can suggest.
If it is red, I can suggest using a light green cover-up stick beneath regular makeup. It will keep it from looking orange.
Under the blue/black/purple part, try a cover stick a couple of shades lighter than your skin.
It will be hard to cover it completely. Good luck.
I had the world’s biggest, blackest, purplist shiner on my chin last summer (punched during sparring in my karate class) - just in time for 3 back-to-back weddings.
I was able to cover it up with just my normal makeup, which is some of that liquid-to-powder stuff (I think it was CG Smoothers - I use something different now) and some concealer (this would probably work) that I just laid on kind of heavy until it all blended.
I’ve got a picture of myself at one of the weddings and you can’t tell anything’s wrong with my chin except for a little un-evenness where there was a bump. And I definitely don’t look over-makeuped.
Good luck!
Anything to do with whacking a ceiling?
As a matter of fact…
Ha ha, at least I can laugh about it now.
For the first 48 hours:Ice/cold pack to the area 10-15 minutes every few hours to help decrease bleeding
After 48 hours, switch to heat (zip lock bag of warm water works well), 10-15 minutes 3 times per day, will help your body as it breaks down the blood cells and reabsorbs the blood under the skin.
Thanks…I’m all over this. Since it’s been more than 48 hours (or right around there) I’ll go right for heat. Which will feel nice anyway.
Hurrah!
