Help me ID this book

ok, I cant remember it. Here’s what I remember:

  • childrens book, but not for young young kids
  • buy is protagonist, has a doll of frankensteins monster
  • at one point the doll’s arm gets ripped off
  • in the basement of the boys building there’s a mad scientist or something who’s building a real frankenstien

Anyone able to help with the title of this book?

This sounds like a book I had when I was a kid called “How to Take care of your Monster” I think.

But it had more than just Frankenstein. There was a vampire and a werewolf and a mummy in it too.

Hmmm…

Are you sure that it’s a Frankenstein doll and not a Dracula doll?

Is the mad scientist actually making a monster or does it turn out to be a mundane activity?

If so, I have a copy at home. IIRC title is Frankenstein Lives Upstairs.

I'll be returning to my place in 9 or so days and can provide the author's name and corrected title.

oooh, maybe it was a dracula doll… Im going off of 18 years memory here so im not quite sure.

DRACULA doll! Yes. That was it. Back to Google.

It’s called Dracula is a Pain in the Neck and is by Elizabeth Levy.

Heh, yeah. Go Google!

Does it turn out that the mad scientist is just A jerk with large headphones and a really big stereo system?

Did one protagonist get the one-armed Drac doll from the other protagonist by trading ummm trading cards?

Frankenstein Moved In On The Fourth Floor was the title I couldn’t remember.

Thanks Rasa
