Help me ID this game!!

This is driving me to the edge of madness. It might be two games. I may just have imagined the whole thing. Theres a mission where you have to chase an amulance and make it crash (its not GTA SA btw). Another mission which involves driving up to a ghost town at the top of the map. Also theres an airport in the south. I remember there being lots of bridges over the streets, and that you could drive up the bridge ramps and perform jumps. I know it sounds like a GTA but really don’t think it is.

Please can anyone help before I have to resort to water-boarding my badger for information. Thanks!

Edit: I think theres also a mission set in nevada where you have to plant a bomb at a casino.

Sounds like one of the Carmageddon games.

Seconding Carmageddon. (For a minute, I thought it might be Intestate 87)

Not Carmageddon: it was all “death races” not missions.

There are quite a few GTA clones out there now. Does Saint’s Row or Crackdown ring a bell? How long ago did you play this? Free driving or set stages?

The third one had missions (one of which involved blowing something up) between races, and I think the second did as well.

Maybe one of the “Driver” series of games? The bit about taking out an ambulance sounds a bit familiar…

I love it when you talk dirty.

Everything you’ve described is in GTA:SA, IIRC. (Except possibly the bomb in the casino. There’s a casino job in the game, but I don’t know about a bomb.) Which makes it real hard for me to think outside that particular box.

Is it a third person game like GTA? What system?

In the casino mission in San Andreas you have to blow up some generators at a dam, and a few more at the casino. So some blowing up of a casino is involved.

I still think that the ambulance mission sounds a bit like Driver 2 and the casino bomb missions sounds like mission 3

Damn. I remember that now. I loved those *Driver *games. It’s amazing how dated they look now after playing GTA IV.

Yah, it’s definitely Driver 2. It even had a ghost town. (Although I think Driver 3 did too).
I never played them much myself (tried once, hated the lack of precision in the controls), but my roommies in college did and that why the OP rang a bell.

Yea! Driver 2, thats it!
Thanks guys. What a game.
