Ok Dopers, help me identify this old, obscure Sci-Fi show that I remember from my youth.
It is about a family that is visiting Egypt. While there, they go on a tour of one of the pyramids. The guide then robs them and leaves them locked in a room for dead. As the Mom, dad, brother and sister wander through the maze of tunnels the fall through some type of dimensional gate and end up in a parallel Earth.
I am not sure what happens next but I do know that they get into some scuffle with a militaristic police type who then pursues them for the rest of the series. During the families adventures they encounter a society of motorcycle driving road warriors, a society where women rule and men are subservient, a 50’s type society where they introduce Rock n’ Roll and tolerance, etc.
The show didn’t have a long run but I do remember seeing it on the Sci-Fi channel awhile back, but for the life of me I can’t remember the name. A search through Yesterdayland came up empty. Any clues?
