Help me identify this danged font!

I’m not a professional designer; I’m doing a favor for a friend because… hmm, why am I doing this? I guess because I (sort of) know how to use a few Adobe products and I’m not good at saying no.

The font I’m trying to ID is here. It’s his logo font, at the top where it says “HerbResearch.” I’m trying to help him make some business cards, which involves rendering that messy, low-contrast logo into crisp black-and-white, and I think it’ll be easier to just start over than to try to work from the existing image.

So, anybody know what the font is called?

Looks like Kabel to me.

I agree, going by the lower case b and the diamond-shaped tittle of the i.

Thanks. I went with Kabel (which I already had, thank God, though not installed).I had to massage the ascender height quite a bit—Kabel’s ascenders are a lot taller than in this logo. Also had to monkey with the proportions of the capital H. I lived to brag about it though.

Thanks again, Borg and Unca; you saved me about 5 hours of frustration. (Or at least an awkward moment that would have ensued if I’d just told my friend to ram it.)

While you’re chatting with him, can you ask what is the meaning of this?

I was about to order some kratom for a friend in Subang Jaya but I’m not going to bother now.

Wikipeeeeedia to the rescue! “Kratom is a controlled substance in Thailand, Bhutan, Australia, Finland, Denmark, Poland, Lithuania, Malaysia and Myanmar.”

I can confirm it’s considered and treated as an illegal narcotic in Thailand.

As for the font, www.whatthefont.com will sometimes help you out.
