About two years ago I was on one of those nice stoned country drives with a friend who always plays the most bizarre music. A song came on that was really nice, a sweet little folky-sounding acoustic ditty which was about animals. Each verse was a cute little story about a different animal, I think. And then all of a sudden towards the end there’s a verse about a farmer “fucking a sow” and siring half-pig, half-human offspring.
?!?!
I’m pretty sure I asked the guy who was singing the song, but I’ve since forgotten. I seem to recall it sounded a lot like either Devandra Benhart or Ted Leo. Could it have possibly been either of those two?
