Okay, I’ve had it for six months and I don’t know what to call it.
What do you call the little beard you grow when you shave everywhere on your face except for the space under your lower lip?
I have one friend who calls it a “Dizzy” because Dizzy Gillespie wore one. Another friend calls it a “soul patch”, which I kind of like, but I need some more input.

The “Doc” or the “Holliday,” as Doc Holliday (played by Val Kilmer) sported a very prominent one in the most excellent movie Tombstone.
I was thinking maybe petite goatee… or I like soul patch but what about spirit patch?

The term I’ve always heard used for them is “soul patch”. I like that; it’s very catchy. I suppose you could make up another name for it, but it might confuse people when you mention it. You’d have to explain it all the time (which you might like doing, but I couldn’t be bothered after a while).
I’ve currently got a Van Gogh (mustache/goatee, but they don’t connect). I’d maybe try a Van Dyke, but a Van Gogh’s just what grows naturally for me.
