I am about to launch a new site for Sales and Marketing at my company, but it needs a name. Were were going to call it SAM (Sales Asset Manager), but we already have a sales system called SAMS, so that’s out. The site being replaced by mine is called MASON (Marketing And Sales ONline).
In a longstanding tradition of giving our sites and tools people names that are really acronyms (there are others), I need to come up with a snappy name for this site. Gots any ideas? I am stuck. Doesn’t have to be an acronym, actually.
Marketing Online Sales Expertise (or Excellence) Marketing And Retail Knowledge (obviously not good for direct sales efforts) Sales Analysis Leadership Expertise Marketing
This is fun, making up acronyms withoug sensing how silly they sound, as English is nog my native language.
I suppose the system needs to be both a noun and a verb, right? “I’ll search SAM for the data on that sale” as well as " Could you please SAM that sale for mistakes?"
SAMSON is totally cracking me up (as are some of the others… but this is from a girl who honestly tried to name an onlines newsletter SMUT (Sales, Marketing and Underwriting Talk). That got shot down with a vengeance. They’re just not ready for that kind of forward thinking around here.
Thanks for the ideas! You’ve given me good stuff to work with.
