Help me name my intranet site

I am about to launch a new site for Sales and Marketing at my company, but it needs a name. Were were going to call it SAM (Sales Asset Manager), but we already have a sales system called SAMS, so that’s out. The site being replaced by mine is called MASON (Marketing And Sales ONline).

In a longstanding tradition of giving our sites and tools people names that are really acronyms (there are others), I need to come up with a snappy name for this site. Gots any ideas? I am stuck. Doesn’t have to be an acronym, actually.

How about “Mark Sal, the Sales and Marketing Pal!”

I’m sorry. All of the ideas were worse.

Welcome to my world. Maybe SLAM, though, or something equally awkward. We lubs some awkward acronyms around here.

SALMAR? (Pronounced " Sell more" )

SALMON?

“SALMON: Spawning better sales since 2007!”

MARKS – Marketing and Sales

MOSES – Marketing Or Sales Excellence System

THOMAS – The Happy Other Marketing And Sales

Yeah, I got nuthin’.

Marketing Online Sales Expertise (or Excellence)
Marketing And Retail Knowledge (obviously not good for direct sales efforts)
Sales Analysis Leadership Expertise Marketing

SAM-2? (pronounced SAMTO)

SARA (Sales Asset Reader Assistant) ?

This is fun, making up acronyms withoug sensing how silly they sound, as English is nog my native language.

I suppose the system needs to be both a noun and a verb, right? “I’ll search SAM for the data on that sale” as well as " Could you please SAM that sale for mistakes?"

Marketing And Sales Tool Unlimited Resource Base And Total Integration Of Networks

SAMSON - Sales And Marketing System ONline. It’s the son of SAMS!

Or for short:

Wide Area Network Knowledgebase

Sales House Information Tool.
Fully United Corporate Knowledgebase.

Go on, you know you want to.

MASK - Marketing and Sales Knowledgebage

You could put a little icon of the mask from Phantom in the corner, maybe?

Holy crap, I love this!

cazzle, that really was brilliant!
:::loud applause:::

SAMSON is totally cracking me up (as are some of the others… but this is from a girl who honestly tried to name an onlines newsletter SMUT (Sales, Marketing and Underwriting Talk). That got shot down with a vengeance. They’re just not ready for that kind of forward thinking around here.

Thanks for the ideas! You’ve given me good stuff to work with.

If you name it this, will it have long hair?

Screaming Calliope.
