You can go with Shenzi, Banzai, or Ed who were hyena’s in Disney’s “The Lion King.”
Opps… A 1/3 ninja by GuanoLad
Please name her Valentine! Or Ellen. That’s an excellent name for a cat.
Thanks for the suggestions. I am liking the winter/frostbite theme. What are some more words for winter/winter cat/frostbite in other languages?
Leaning towards Winter or Frosty at the moment…or just keeping Baby.
I’d stick w/ Baby! How fun will it be when you’re sitting in the waiting room at the vet (for spaying and well visits only, knock wood) and the tech calls out, “Baby!” and you stand up?
Seriously, the cat names we’ve liked best have been spontaneous names that came from the cat’s behavior or how we felt toward them. Hence why I have a cat called Hoser.
She looks like my cat Lucinda! Aka LuLu, or Lucy.
How about Cordelia?
Congrats on getting a tortie! Mine is named Scotch, but then her brother is named Soda.
Have ya thought about van Gogh… or even Vinny (instead of Vincent, 'cause she’s a girl)? I did, but then, I’m a little weird that way.
Well, Rocky and Bullwinkle are from Frostbite Falls, but those are boy names.
So how about Natasha?
If you named her Snowflake it could be fun, as everyone would expect her to be all white.
I like Frostbite. Frosty for short?
She could have used earmuffs, poor kitty. Name her Muffy!
But she’s from Pottsylvania, dollink.
Well, it’s a male-dominated show. Unless you think “June Foray” is a good cat name.
My father had a cat that looked like that. He named her Zahav, which is Hebrew for “gold”. (If you see your cat in sunlight, it’s obvious why the name is appropriate.) Later I had an identical cat, which I also named Zahav. Both Zahavs were amazing cats. My Zahav was a healer. When I was sick or injured, she was by my side until I got better, and her ministrations eased my suffering.
The name Zahav comes with my blessing.
P.S. You could also name her Golda My-ear.
I was thinking Jack Frost-so call her Jackie.
Phred
For no apparent reason
Edit: But don’t listen to me. You should never let a dog name your cat.
Shiver
Chilly
Blizzard (Blizzy)
Jamidi (Frostbite in swahili)
Need update!
So Mssr. Swine, what did you name the little fluffball?
Silky. I once cared for a stray cat with the softest coat in the same brindled pattern, and a very affectionate nature, who went by that name. Silky has since crossed over the rainbow bridge, but the name seems very appropriate for any friendly kitty (as all Torties are).
Thank you for taking in a suffering animal. You did good.
