This is probably about 10 years ago: there was a teenager who lived in Manhattan who had a cable access program that came to be an underground hit, especially among stars who live in Manhattan. He ended getting his own slot on MTV I believe, but I don’t know if the show ever aired. The kid ended taking off in the middle of production and the show was shelfed.
