Chan is the Persian, Gamma is the tuxedo.
I didn’t name Chan but I did name Gamma. The picture of Gamma you see is one of the few that’s in focus because she’s always had a lot of energy and she’s pretty bright, hence her name. Being tuxedo also makes her chest look like light splitting from darkness.
The new kitten is from the same mother as Gamma but of a different litter. As you can see from the pictures, she looks unusual: Her coat is mainly tabby but has ginger spots like a calico and her chin/chest/boots/gloves are white like a tuxedo. Her temperament is also more cuddly and laid back than Gamma; It’s impossible to sleep or cuddle with Gamma but I usually wake up to the new kitten as the little spoon next to my head when I wake up. She was scared at first but trusted me within a day which was much faster than Gamma.
I’m not sure what to call her. Since I named Gamma after light (or at least the brightest/most energetic) part of the electromagnetic spectrum, I thought I might name the new kitten after something sound-related but I don’t know very much about sound or music. It might be something which is soft/warm like her purrsonality and also has several parts/layers like her coat.
