Okay I need help. On Family Ties (season 5 I think) there was an episode where Alex’s girlfriend - Ellen - left for Paris. On that episode they played a song the title of which we’re now searching for.
Very vague memories include such snatches as:

and something about moments…
Damn memories. Obviously suffering from post-80s hangover…
“What Would You Think” by Billy Vera and the Beaters.
Actually, the song is called “At This Moment”. It had gotten to #79 on the U.S. charts in 1981. The Family Ties airplay of the song in 1986 caught Billy Vera by surprise, but he was able to make a deal to have the song re-released on Rhino records, and it went to #1.
