Any explanation would take way too long or be a spoiler for a very good book. Sapient pearwood is from Terry Pratchett’s DiscWorld series. One of the main characters (Rincewind) owns a magical travel-trunk, called Luggage. Luggage is made of sapient (magic-infused until it has a life and motivations of its own) pearwood.
How 'bout Khamsa al-Ta’ir?
Khamsa is Arabic for, well, “five,” and “al ta’ir” is Arabic for “the flyer,” (hence the origin of the star Altair).
I can’t believe nobody has suggested 5ive.
[sub]I also can’t understand why I’m posting in such an old thread[/sub]
I just want to say that Felonious Monk would be a great band name.
Mangetout:
I can.
How the hell did you even find this? What were you searching on?
A great SF book for kids not quite ready for Heinlein juvies. Jay Williams wrote it.
I think “Possible Joe” is an insanely cool name, and vote for it. (If nothing else, it brought back <gad> 30 year old memories of that story)
If you don’t go with “Possible Joe” )or possibly (“Possible Joeinator”?) I vote for Neville Chamberlin, on the assumption that if you don’t do what I want, you should suffer.

Fenrisinator(?)
No. No -inator.
Just Fenris
Dammit,
Suckered by a resurrected thread. I say: If it’s older than three months, lock it down!
Fenris
A bear-like chemist living in a leafy suburb
Something involving “Crime Jazz”
Quite funny, not monk related at all
In which there is reference to an actual band named "Felonious Monk
Steve Bennett!
