I want to register at the SDMB, but my sister already registered (under this username) and used this computer to post, and now it won’t let me register as a different person!
Can anyone help me register?
Go to the SDMB home page here You will see a link called log out. Your sister has to log out (or you can do it for her) before you can register. Make sure you each log out before the other posts, to avoid posting under the wrong name.
Once you have your new username, you may also want to e-mail TubaDiva to let her know that two of you will be using the same computer. This will help prevent any misunderstanding later.
Bibliophage is mostly correct.
More than one Doper can use the same computer, you all just need to log in and out of the board for every session.
So be sure to clear those cookies first . . . and welcome to the board!
It’s nice to know when we have more than one Doper at the same location/computer, but know that in most cases there could be a thousand different Dopers at the same place and we wouldn’t know. Long as you follow forum rules we’re mostly oblivious to that sort of thing, it’s only troublemakers that make us hit the radar and look closely at situations.
