Hi, I created a little mp3 file with a few seconds of a song that long ago I just to hear at the radio, in commercials of a department store. Because it’s entirely instrumental and there’s no other way to identify it than hearing it, I ask for your help in this strange way.
I hope the link works. If not, please tell me and please suggest another way to put it in the internet for you to access it:
Sorry, I’m mexican and probably writing with mistakes…
I remember clearly the music I posted the link of, and here in my city no one could tell me where that piece comes from.
The only way I found to ask for help was making a midi file, turn it into a mp3 file and post it for people to hear it. Now, I’m sure that I didn’t dreamed it (I was just kiddin’), because some of my friends have heard it too but they doesn’t know it.
Sory, but doesn’t ring a bell with me either. Because of the synthesizer-like sounds I am reminded of Mike Oldfield, but you say the original was with a violin. FTR: I’m surprised that the foreground melody would be played by a violin. I’m a violinist myself, and it sounds hard to play that, but maybe I’m not hearing the actual melodic line correct. In baroque music there were figures like that, but they sound different.
Would it be possible to post the midi-file; then I could try to change the melody line to a violin (or you could do that yourself). The synthesizer-like sound distracts me and maybe I would recognize it with a different patch assignment.
