Help Wanted in Chicago Area

The company I work for has several openings in Lisle, Illinois. We do home automation, A/V, and system integration for ultra-high-end homes. Among the openings is for a Client Network Administration Specialist. All the usual requirements plus a willingness to travel often, sometimes for a week at a time, and sometimes on very short notice, so it’s not really suited to a single parent. The upside of the travel is that it is to nice places, though you may not get to see much of them. We also have openings for an experienced Sales Assistant and a highly-experienced Estimator/Proposal Manager.

The people are nice and the checks don’t bounce. The older I get the more important those two qualities are. Email me and I’ll send you the link. My address is in my profile.

One bump

Would I have to do a drug test?

Hard to say. I didn’t and some people laughed, “In this industry?” when I asked, but we have a Real Live HR Person now and I suspect she thinks differently about tests. OTOH, the hiring process tends to be so drawn out that, if you started today, you could probably be clean in time.

cough cough, when do I start dude?

A final bump for old times’ sake.

dropzone, I’ve got a buddy who might be interested. I’ve pointed him in this direction, so you might hear from him soon. (Free bump, IAC.) If you guys ever need a machinist, lemme know and I’ll send ya my resume.

Lisle is a really nice area, as well. I just drove through it about a half hour ago on my way back home from Naperville. You could definitely do a LOT worse than Lisle.

Yes, Lisle is nice. Westmont is, too. Any town that was the home of Muddy Waters has something going for it!

Dammit, I wasn’t going to bump this again.

My aunt lives in Lisle!

If I knew what a Client Network Administration Specialist did, I’d be very tempted. I’m not very happy with my job right now, except that I’m very happy they have sick leave.

I wasn’t going to bump this again but the past few days my email held more resumes than business opportunities from the Boy From Lagos. The Sales Assistant position was filled Friday but we now have an opening for a Client Support Manager.

I’m prescreening the resumes to prevent personal embarassment. They’re not asking for a salary history so leave it off–no point in telling them you are willing to work for less than they are willing to pay. They’re getting a lot of resumes in a job market that’s still tight so they’re being picky. If I get word you aren’t being considered I’ll let you know ASAP, but HR will also send you a card saying your resume will be kept for six months for future consideration and she means it.
