Helpme, Lady - or, a very typical MMP

Glad your dad is doing better, tarra.

   Glad you’re better.

Sorry about your friend, Spaz.

Long day at work, but at least I got lots done. Food is almost all rearranged and put away. Yay! Next, I have a bunch of books that need to be weeded and/or relocated. And I need to get the office set up again.

It’s almost Firday!!!

GT

I want a PUPPY. There’s this ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE boxer puppy at our neighborhood pet store that I see on my way to work and the boyfriend and I have fallen in love with him. Sniffle.

But it’s not a good time. Puppies are such a commitment. Sadface.

Up and caffeinating and on time today. And why is that? I’ma make like the little piggy this morning, and go “Whhhheeeeeee! Wheeeeee! Whewwww!” just because it’s finally FIRDAY!!

Hey there Haze, boxer puppies are so cute … don’t listen to Bobbbbio when he complains about his boxers, though! Emmmmmms, hope you can rest up a bit while you’re home this time. I had to LOL over Mr.Emmmms, poor thing, depleting your freezer stock!

It’s shivery cold this morning! My Dad sounded a bit stronger yesterday but gosh, he was really sick! I’m so glad he’s out of the hospital and back at his senior living facility (even if it is the infirmary section). And omg, does he have many friends there! LOL He’s a friendly guy, I guess, just loves to venture into TMI territory too often for me. Gotti, glad to hear that you’re feeling better, that was a bad 'un!

Happy Firday all.

After being told for five months that I should forget about the training, it’s not our job, there’s a team specifically for that… yesterday we were asked “where are the courses”, so I’m writing them for the module I’m working on.

We have a document on how to write the courses which is thankfully very vague, but… it says to use the imperative mode and then gives two examples.

In the infinitive. Which can be used to give instructions but it is not the imperative mode, damnit. Grammar fail, go back to fifth grade, do not pass Go!

Oh, and since I’m not describing how to do the work in excruciating detail (I am NOT writing a SAP manual on powerpoints, fer Og’s sake) but rather explaining concepts, I’m using impersonal forms, I’m such a rebel :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway. Back to taking screenshots of blue and grey screens, envy me!

Don’t listen to Spicey. I can have 2 in the mail to SKorea this afternoon…

ETA: Butt pain has morphed into lower back pain, which is, according to my cute little physical terrorist, a sign of progress. When it becomes spinal pain, the end is in sight.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienated. It’s cool outside, only forty-one Amurrkin! Thus da cave is a little cool cause I have windows open. I think I’ll keep 'em open as it will warm up to seventies today.

gotti dang! Glad you’re gettin’ all better.

BBBobbio so the pain gradually just migrates out of yer body huh.

Annie glad it went well with hubby. Appropriate/inappropriate appendages will be crossed for good results.

Herbs glad dad (a rhyme!) is doin’ a lot better. He likes TMI. That means we’d get along real good!

Everybody else, yays, boos, hugs, trouts, chitlins, noogies, kisses, how you doin’s as needed. Please don’t be greedy and share with the others.

Later Y’all!

Happy Firday!

It’s chilly here, too. My feets are cold, and poor Ernie is snuggled up next to me, occasionally shivering. He keeps running outside because there’s* SQUIRRELS!!! *out there.

Today is Dad day. We are going to get him a haircut, go to Wally World, go to the bookstore, and go out to lunch to his favorite place - James Coney Island. 'Tis better than working!

Tomorrow I’ve decided that instead of taking all the dogs to the dog park (low of 38° tomorrow morning!) - I’m gonna take just Lucy to the woods and hike a little. It should be an awesome day.

I’m making a big pot of veggie soup for dinner.

Hello Fall! It’s about time.

Today there’s a stray dog outside my office. She’s a good-sized beagle/lab mix, I think. no collar, of course. Very sweet. I put down kibble and water. I have a person in the building who will take her home if she’s still here at the end of the work day.

This afternoon my step-father and I will be working on mapping my fusebox and figuring out what outlets and lights go to which fuse. Sooner or later I’ll probably have to have the whole house rewired. My wiring is probably 60 years old, and I have a fuse box instead of a breaker box.

bbbobbio - I’m glad you’re not a pain in the ass anymore.

Hazel - You need a puppy…come to the dog side…

doggio - You need another beagle-y dog, right?

sniffle Summer Hours (aka Daylight Savings Time for y’all) are officially over; the shift in the clocks has meant the end of friday afternoons off. And since my team was officially put “on probation” two weeks ago, I’ve been sleeping like shit. I can haz bed now? whine

Good morning. I’ve been up for awhile, just kind of cruising the 'net.

The dogs are next to me, playing together, making funny little groaning noises.

My daughter is coming down to hang out with me today. She texted me last night asking if today was my RDO, and I told her it was. She replied, “Cool! I’m coming donw to hang out with you!”.

You know, that makes me feel good. I don’t pester her for her time or to call me, yet she always comes down to hang out with us of her own accord. We must have done alright with her!

Up, caffeinated, off to irk.

gotti,[sup]5[/sup]

Glad the bbbutt is better, BBBobbio.

No, Nelly has (hopefully) decided to forgo migrating this year.

Good morning, and Happy Firday! I have found myself surprisingly ahead in my work, so I’ve been spending the morning updating the diabetes care portion of our company website. I want our CCRs to have all the info they could ever need about it. Since this is Diabetes Awareness Month, I’ll be using next week to show them some of the different meters and to share information about diabetes. It’ll be fun!

SiL got her post!

She’d been working “under contract” for the local healthcare center for the last 5 years or so; there were exams for permanent positions last Spring and she got a high enough grade to be 99.999% sure to be able to pick a post, but it used to be that the actual picking (person with the best grade picks first, etc.) would start only after ever complaint about grading had been processed. This time they (“they” in this case being our regional government) figured that since the complaints can only affect the bottom of the “pass” pile and since there’s usually some people who decide they’re not interested in the job after all, they’d let people start picking already. SiL was able to pick the shift she wanted, in one of the villages next-door. Eventually, as she accumulates “points” (seniority and other items which raise the grades for these exams) she’ll be able to pick one in town if she wants to.

Thanks for the update gt and SO.

I so don’t feel like doing any more work today. Blah.

Has everyone had a good Firday?

Dindin was grilled tilapia, steamed peas & carrots, baked N.O.T. and rolls. 'Twas good! We et early due to hongriness.

That’s the excitatement from swampland.

It ends in a headache?

the Cabaret Show starts in less than 24 hours - I am on midway through the solo acts - I am seriously nervous.

Hi! I’m here. I’m alive. I’m finally mellowing.

I got a call at work from the guy doing the paperwork for daughter’s car. He got notification back from MVA that there was some sort of insurance problem and they wouldn’t process the title. I made a bunch of phone calls, getting nowhere, so I decided to drive down to the MVA office in Loveville (real place - just a few miles down the road) and talk to a live person. Turns out when we traded in FCD’s car for the truck, we were supposed to turn in our tags within 5 days. I finally turned them in about 3 weeks later. So for that period of time between canceling the insurance and turning the tags in, we were, to all appearances, driving without insurance. I had to take them a copy of the purchase paperwork to prove we traded the car. We managed to get back to MVA literally seconds before they closed the doors. So that’s all taken care of.

When daughter got home, I got her to follow me to AVIS where I turned in the rental. Then she and I went to Red Robin, then to get her hair cut, and finally home. Whew, I’s tahred!

And I heard back from the adjuster this afternoon. I should get my car back next Firday. So I’ll be riding in with daughter for 3 days next week. No biggie. We’ll get some quality chat time.

Tomorrow, I’m going to Mom’s to get a truckload of plants. Then next week when the temps are warmer, I’ll plant the stuff. 'Cause I’ll be off Thurs and Fri.

That’s all for now. I’m going to read the funnies, then go to bed.

Hugs and gropes all around!

My daughter left just a bit ago. She came down around 11:00 or so and we hung for the day. I took her to lunch, and then we ran errands, and finally, finished with some grocery shopping.

I bought a chickie so I can make Maryland style fried chicken tomorrow night. I wanted to buy a cut up fryer (sue me; I’m lazy), but they didn’t have any. They had packages of breasts, they had packages of thighs, and they had packages of drumsticks, but no just whole cut-up chicken. It was most irritating.

I hate trying cut up a chicken.

No big plans for the weekend that I’m aware of. Seems my social life is kind of drying up. Our regular set of friends is trying to quit smoking as well and they seem to have backed away from everyone.

I have to admit, I am going a bit stir crazy. I may see if my husband is interested in taking me to a movie tomorrow night. He won’t take me dancing, and bars aren’t our scene, so that’ll have to be my night out. Assuming, of course, that he agrees to take me.

Gotta check on dinner.

They never have cut up chickens. Drives me bonkers.

Bored.
