Here it is! The 19th Not-Quite-Annual Shot Glass Exchange in all its glory!

I’m honored to have received one. I think he’s cute af and I’m going to hang it from my car’s rearview mirror. My wife is especially enamored with the London magnet.

I tried the candy sticks and quite like the flavor: definitely not sweet but not liquor flavored either. All I can say is they’re unique.

Ok.

It looks like the SGE is concluded! Everyone sent a package and everyone received a package, per my notes:

Silenus → kenobi_65
Shoeless → silenus
Teuton → Lancia
kenobi_65 → penultima_thule
penultima_thule → Cerridwyn
Kron → Labdad
Baker → Czarcasm
Czarcasm → Shoeless
Labdad → dogbutler
Cerridwyn → Teuton
Lancia → Kron
dogbutler → Baker

If I’m missing someone or somehow got my wires crossed somewhere, please let me know. Otherwise, I’ll see you all next year!

I have alreadu eaten two pickles and just before I go to bed I think I’ll initiate the shotglass.

I’m ready for next year already. So whoever I get, be ready. LOL

Thank you, Penultima_Thule.

The thing about Teuton’s box is everything in the box says Portland OR. The chocolates, coffee & tea were all made in Portland.

The syringes take place when you make the jell-o. You can use flavored vodka to measure as part of the water for the jello. Once it is ready to set in the ice box, fill the syringes with the same colored jell-o, making the Jell-O Shot. Dont forget to cover the tip with the cap.

Put it in the ice box for length of time on the directions. Set the syringes in a bowl of ice to serve.

If you want to serve to minors, dash the alcohol for water & serve in small bowls.

Maybe next year. Being unsure how it worked, I just watched along as things developed. It looks like a lot of fun, actually.

Problem is, that I live in one of the most boring cities in the world. That suits me just fine, but it means that there is nothing really unique to my location. Nor is there anything to attract tourists, so souvenir shops, and the attendant shot glasses and other localized items, don’t exist.

Hm. Well, I’ve got a year to consider it. Like I said, maybe next year.

The more the merrier! I’ve found truck stops and large gas stations/convenience stores like 7Eleven to be good suppliers of shot glasses. I have a good idea of where I can get glasses now that I’ve been playing this for ~10 years. Over the next year if you find shot glasses somewhere close-ish, that might help you in your decision-making.

Not even close-ish. If in the next year you find yourself someplace semi-interesting, pick up a shot glass or two. I’ve sent glasses that relate to my person’s interests, hobbies or sexual perversions. It’s a big, wide world…go drink in it!

Our state museum is finally reopen after remodeling. It’s a great place for Kansas items, and shotglasses too. I like that they don’t stock Oz items, as it’s not really about Kansas.

And just the due amount of toadying to the venerable Grand Czar of SGE for their much appreciated efforts in the organisation of this institution.

Thanks, @Lancia . I have vicariously enjoyed this thread.

Well, dogbutler, the shotglass has been used, but not back on the second of December. It was last night, and for a sort of scary reason, to calm my nerves. I was on the way home and at a busy intersection I was about four cars back at the stop. Light turned green and suddenly, going crossways, a fire truck goes zooming through. The car at the head of the intersection had started to move but was not struck. I don’t know why I didn’t hear it, those horns are loud, but being that close to an accident shook me up. It wasn’t that far from where I live so when I got in I popped that little bottle you sent, pour it over an ice cube in the shotlass, and that’s all she wrote.

That’s where I had to go!

Oooh, a challenger steps up…

Sorry I had to miss this year’s…
