This morning my lovely rott/pit mix went out to do her business and supervise the goats’ breakfast and when my husband went to let her in 5 minutes later, she was dead. Had just keeled over. Heart? Anyerysm (sp?)? She was 7, slowing down some in her joints, but no other problems. Irk was especially irky today. Kleenex needed often.

Is it Tuesday already? I am seriously losing track of time here! Yesterday I left San Jose in charge of a rental car (Chevrolet Malibu LT) that feels at least twice the size of my usual vehicle (Seat Ibiza). Plus of course I’m sitting on the wrong side and there’s no gear stick… Anyway, after a bit of fun and games trying to leave the city, I finally arrived here in Yosemite and had a well-deserved glass of vino collapso. The hotel is nice but a little strange, but it’s ok for a couple of nights.
There was a shuttle bus from here to Yosemite Valley that left at 8.30am and returned at 3.30pm so I was on it. In between, there was the shuttle bus around the park that took me to all the places I wanted to see. Tomorrow I have to return the cruise liner they gave me instead of a car and get on a train to San Francisco which means I should arrive there in the early evening. I also have to call and confirm my trip details for Thursday when I am off for a day of wine and champagne tasting. Should be fun, no?
oh, sheesh, I didn’t know! next week? let’s see, Monday good for you?

Banana bread is all gone, had the last piece this morning with my coffee. I have more bananas now, though, so maybe some more bread is in the future. LOL Probably.
My test results came in okay - diabetes is under control, believe it or not, with the oral meds, so yay for that (my A1C was 5.8). Apparently, though, my thyroid med is a bit too much, so the levels need to be adjusted. The doctor’s instructions didn’t make any sense to me, so I am having to call his office this morning for clarification.
We are supposed to get rain today, so another good thing! I’d just like a bit of a steady rain for a few hours, so that it could soak into the ground (if such a thing is possible here LOL). The temps are cooler as well, it will only be in the 70s today - double yay.

I had the rest of the smoked chikin with some butterbeans and squishes for N.O.L. YUM!!! I think dindin shall be in the form of BLTs cause I do have a couple maters and some lettuce that need to be used plus, bacon! BACON! BACON! BACON!

I’m all by myself at irk. Ok, not all by myself because there’s a buildin’ full of folks but I’m the only one in my little corner. The other two are out and about checkin’ up on people and irkin’ from home. Rah. I may make Firday a work from home day just cause.
