OK, from going to the Heroes website, I got a minor spoiler about next week’s episode (concerning a guest star.) It’s not huge, but I will spoiler it:
George Takai guest stars as Hiro’s father!!!

If (a) Zach is straight and (b) Claire is totally into him, or seems to be, given that he is (c) a straight teenage boy with a hot cheerleader coming on to him, so (d) duh.
Good point, for those of us who refuse to track down all the online stuff. Oh, and, point of order, Eden killed herself.
Call the 800-number on the web site. You will get an automated voice response system. It will offer you 3 options - Sales, Shipping or Personnel. Choose the right option, and you get a code that you can enter on the web site. Entering the code leads to an employment application.
You’re welcome.
Did anyone else get the impression that Sylar was learning from that cockroach?
I think that it is clear that Niki broke the police stick to her own suprise.
Parkman remembers the Haitian and discussed him with the radioactive guy. The Haitian was standing right there in the paper factory but Parkman never acknowleged his existance.
The one thing that bugs me is the clear retcon that occurred this episode. Remember last time when folks were complaining that schools would never reopen their doors the day after a murder? Yeah, well now that whole scene that annoyed people last episode “didn’t” happen, and the school’s really been closed for days!
High school football games are generally held on Friday nights, so the scene on school grounds the day after the murder would’ve been on a Saturday. It’s still pretty amazing that that number of kids would be wandering around school grounds the day after the murder but it’s not technically a retcon (no one was shown attending class, for example).
Does anyone know enough about Japanese characters to confirm that the symbol is a combination of “great talent” and “Godsend”? I’m dubious.
It’s one hell of a stretch, though. What kid would ever sit around school on a Saturday or Sunday? Even after a tragedy.
More importantly, though, Claire (paraphrased) said, “I need a friend and I already know I can trust you to keep my secret.”
J.
I guess the point I’m trying to make is that with all three of these plotlines, we were fooled into thinking that things were going to be very different (Claire on her own with no friends, Sylar escaped, the feds investigating AED) when in fact we’re basically back where we started in all three cases.
Ok, I don’t know why, but I think that’s just about the coolest thing ever!

Sweet. Of course, they’re just collecting contact information, but let’s see what they send in the future.
Really a “Meh” episode. Little Radioactive Man hands cameo was the only bright spot. Expected *much * stronger show for the start of the second phase. Conflicted cheerleader storyline has gotten insanely annoying. Need to cut back on her face time. Something had better start happening next show or this shows momentum is going to peter out.
I’m glad it’s back, but I too thought it was rather “meh.” A couple of points that I had, not previously brought up:
Invisible man. “You can see me?!” Ugh. I was half expecting him to grab Peter and yell “Get off my train!!” And why exactly does he need to steal money? Can’t he just take whatever he needs without paying?
Why didn’t the cop that was standing three feet behind Niki, watching her the entire time, not notice DL stick his hand through the glass separator?
“Bright spot?”
And the thing that bugged me most about this episode was: why was Claire dressed so nicely for the video project? She knew whatever clothes she wore would be ruined by blood and perforation by ribs and whatnot, so why wear a nice turtleneck and hoodie ensemble? Put on your doing-weekend-yardwork clothes, sweetie!
From what little I know of the Invisible Man (out of deference to the nickname haters I am refraining from referring to him as Doctor Where), he’s been invisible for years so I don’t expect him to be completely rational. He was also taking sell phones and other stuff, so I just figured he was playing pranks. Sure he can take what he needs but where’s the fun in being invisible if you can’t screw with people?
I didn’t notice DL sticking his hand through the partition…
There’s an inexplicable Walter Sobchak appearance in the latest online comic.

Really? He reached through to grab Niki’s hand and hold it. Complete with little squeaky sound effects as it passed through the glass. I completely thought it was going to get the guard’s attention, causing DL to be exposed, etc.
Instead it was just a throw away f/x thing that the guard I guess didn’t see. I guess he had his back to the dangerous woman who attacked other guards already even though he was the only one in the room.
And that’s another thing - aren’t the guards a little more curious about how a tiny blonde woman can break a metal police baton in half with her bare hands?
I did and it bothered me.
I liked it, I liked it a lot. It’s moving forward briskly and I don’t get a sense of filler material yet but the beginning was a bit jumbled. Why did they put up “Two weeks ago” at the beginning? Nik/Jess beating up the guards was implied, but Zylar being tied up threw me, so I spent the first five minutes thinking I had missed an episode and had to go back to the previous and check.
I guess some guys find Ali Larter hawt, but to me, she looks just skanky and that whole plot line takes up too much time. The cheerleader girl is adorable and her plot line shows off strong Buffy vibes, which I like.
The credits listed Eccleston, but I forgot about him and didn’t recognize him as the invisible man. Has Dr Who landed him a place in Hollywood?
They really have to stop jerking our chains about Dad Bennet. It’s annoying.
I happened to stumble onto it. Okay I admit I was watching Deal or No Deal. I couldn’t help it, the most annoying woman in the world was on. Glad to see she went home with $500.
Anyway… The special thingy appeared to be a short scene from a future episode showing a new character. Don’t know if it is from next week or an extra scene that won’t appear.
The scene is in Ted’s Love Shack in the desert. Ted is working on his computer when he gets an IM. Which is strange because he has no internet connection. IM tells him to turn around and it is a new character whose names escapes me. She looks like a more attractive version of Eden without the freakish ears. The lady is trying to convince Ted to join forces. As proof that they are on the same side she calls up a picture of some sort of injector gun and shows Ted the telltale double neck wound on her neck. Her power is that her brain is connected to the internet. I dub her WiFem. That’s about all I remember. I didn’t DVR it so I can’t go back and see it.
