It said “Two weeks later”. That changes thngs quite a bit.
Someone explain one thing to me. I may have forgotten something. Did they explain how Ted got to his little shack in the desert? I don’t remember anything from an earlier episode.

I’ll have to watch it again. But since she’s the least interesting Hero my mind tends to wander.
Or more likely he was standing watching her but at the angle of his view he couldn’t see her hands.
I thought it was wood. I’d have sworn I saw a wooden core. Which, still, snapping it is damned impressive but not as impressive as shearing solid metal. But they already knew she was freaky strong; witness the various guards sporting various injuries.
He broke out of police custody (off-screen, reported by FBI Agent Clea to [del]Sean[/del][del]Weiss[/del]Matt!) an episode or two ago and presumably spent the intervening time refining and practicing his powers.
That would be a pretty bad angle to choose. Also notice he was staring right at her seconds later when she asked him to hug her son. With the baton i thought i saw a distinctly metal core, but anyway, I like her the least as well and now I’m irritated that I’ve had to talk about her some more.
The expandable versions of the PR-24 are metal. The kind that don’t expand are a heavy resin.
I disagree about the least interesting Hero. Parkman has started to suck the life out of the show everytime he is on screen. They need to have something interesting happen to him other than showing what a schlub he is.
I don’t recall that clearly but it sounds right.
Depends what this guy’s details are. Has he managed to keep his apartment by sending in a rent check every month? If so, he’s got to get cash to deposit into his bank account. Rent, utilities, internet & cable TV. He’d need to finance these things, assuming he’s not homeless.
If I were to turn invisible today, lose my job, my home - as long as I still had a bank account I’d be tempted to keep feeding cash into it.
About the name of the new character: I’ll spoiler box this just because it’s a reply to a boxed spoiler, but anyone who wants to see the video can watch it at NBC’s Heroes site. She also appears in the most recent 5 chapters of the online comic.
Her actual name is Hana Gitelman. And while I like your “WiFem,” I think she’s the first one with an actual in-show hero/villian-type code name (if you don’t count “Flying Man”). She used the IM name “Wireless.” That was also the title of her arc in the online comic.
Thanks Loach.
And whaddaya know, it’s up on Youtube. Here it is for those who are curious:
Yeah I just watched that scene again and the sound effect of the telescoping is there.
Well, you know, he’s a cop and all cops are dead boring always.
Parkman is interesting. Parkman-and-his-wife are like drowning in mattress foam. But Janice is minimal enough so that she doesn’t bug the piss out of me the way that Niki/DL/Micah do. I would be annoyed if Parkman vanished off the show but wouldn’t miss Niki or Micah or DL or Jessica for that matter.
OK, I didn’t see anyone else say this, so I hope I can be the first to predict it:
I think that the great samurai that Hiro and Ando were talking about (and who’s sword they want to get,) is, in fact, Hiro himself. I predict at some point in the future, he will go back to feudal Japan, either on purpose or by accident, and from there start samurai training. He will then get a reputation as the best samurai because of his powers. He can stop/slow time to attack the enemy, transport around the battlefield, etc…
And I agree that if that’s what the “Hiro vs. dinosaur” painting was referring to, then that’s a pretty weak explanation.
Lord, I really hope you’re wrong about Hiro. I hate that sort of time travel story.
Those prison visit booth thingies are closed off on both sides for privacy, even if the cop was standing right behind nikky (which i don’t think he was, im pretty sure he was off to one side by the door out) her body would be blocking the view of their hands.
Well, to be fair, I’m betting we wouldn’t see any of it.
Here’s the set up:
For whatever reason, Hiro is standing next to Ando, and decides he has to jump somwhere (or somewhen,) and does so. A few seconds later, he reappears in the exact same spot in a samurai outfit and says something along the lines of:
Hiro: I’m him!
Ando: Who? What are you talking about?
Hiro: Takezo Kensai! It’s me!
I think that the cheerleader saving the world thing will be the climax of this season, so she will get plenty of screen time. Plus we still don’t know much about Dad Bennet and what he is up to. I don’t know how many more episodes there are this season, but there is probably plenty of time for new characters, conflicts and questions to fill up the show until the climax.
I rather like “Doctor Where”, unless that is another Twoper creation. I like our nicknames homegrown.
Last night was chapter 12 and a full season these days tends to be 22 episodes, so that would mean 10 more before we all get pitched into withdrawal over the long dry spring and summer.
I made it up, but someone else may have thought of it too.

Why didn’t the cop that was standing three feet behind Niki, watching her the entire time, not notice DL stick his hand through the glass separator?
I saw that, too. It seemed very odd.
Does anyone know enough about Japanese characters to confirm that the symbol is a combination of "great talent" and "Godsend"? I'm dubious.
That would be The Symbol that shows up in a lot of different places. Here is the kanji for “sai” (meaning talent) and here is the kanji for “yo” (godsend). So, yes, it’s a stylized combination of the two kanji.
Forgot to add… The Symbol is so stylized (and truncated from the original 2 kanji) that it’s hard to believe someone would actually see those two kanji in it.
