If they are on Haiti, and Haiti limits powers, how then was Candence able to project Hawaii, and a variety of other forms for herself?
I want a list of everyone who has ever written for this show. I will track each one of them down personally and ensure that they are never given such a great premise to treat so terribly ever again.
Hmm, if I eat their brains, I can gain the power to write clichés and bad dialogue!
I was curious about the actors nationalities because of the comment about their fake Irish accents. They all seem to have Irish last names but one is from England (the afore-mentioned, Keating), the black guy is from Sierra Leone, the head guy is American but went to school in Ireland. I can’t find any info on the girl.
It’s kind of interesting that D.L. being dead wasn’t worth any comments here.
Well I’ll tell you why: because…uh, well…I got nothin’.
It was a borrowed theory. At least it’s more interesting than “Sylar’s stuck on a deserted island! How will he get off?! Stay tuned for the next seven episodes to find out!” which seems to be where this is going.
I feel bad that I forgot to mention DL dying, that did kinda suck. He was a good guy.
I am also bored by Peter right now.
Basically, the show has succeeded in making me not care about a single one of the characters anymore. Way to go.
I’m still gonna keep watching though, I’ll admit it.
But did you notice his license plate?
Yeah, I didn’t either.
Sylar escaping without anyone seeing him bugged the hell out of me last season, i for one im glad they had a reasonable explanation for that.
You know, something that just occurred to me about Flying Stalker Boy, while in another conversation:
It’s a chore carrying my five-year old nephew around. Heck, it’s a chore carrying his two-year old little brother around.
I certainly wouldn’t want to be carrying them at aircraft cruising altitude when they start to get too heavy and slip down a little. 'Cause that’s a loooong way down.
Good thing Claire can go skydiving without a parachute, because Stalker Boy sure doesn’t have the muscles to hold on to her for long (even if she is all of hobbit-sized).
Which would’ve made a much better scene, IMO:
West: “Just shut up,” picks up Claire, flys away, cue Superman flying themesong
Claire: schmoopy eyes
West: “Damn, you’re heavy!” Claire drops
Claire: splat, re-grow little toe again “Can you read my mind, NOW?”
I have a theory that maybe Candace isn’t dead at all. Maybe the entire scene with Sylar killing her was an illusion. Seeing as this guy is a serial killer would you want to be in the same room with him?
She’s Katie Carr, and she’s a London girl. IMDB doesn’t mention her appearances on Heroes, even though she’s listed in the opening credits as a guest star. shrug
I think she’s beautiful, whatever her skills at Irish accents. She and Eriko Tamura are the only ones holding my interest in the Ireland and Japan stories, respectively.
Re: Hiro. He has only successfully time-ported once. In “Five-Years Later” he was able to get back to his own time. He has gotten time-stopping and teleportation down pretty well, but it’s clear that if he doesn’t concentrate, he has very little control. So yeah, he could, in theory, pop back to his time, tell Ando what’s up, and pop back, but he might not be able to get back, and he knows this. He also knows there’s a slim chance he won’t ever get back to his own time, so might as well have a back-up[ plan to let his best-friend know what happened to him.
I bet his next stop is the Cretaceous.
Oh yeah, D.L., I knew I was forgetting something I meant to say. I was sorry to see him go, since he was the least annoying character in his family, but I was happy at least that SOME death from last year stuck. I was getting kinda tired of the heroic death reset button.
Shows what geeks my wife and I are. We both went, “Hey, was that Malcolm from Enterprise?” the moment he first flashed across the screen.
I didn’t mind the Claire flying scene… I think that even if it’s a cliche, it’s still something that would almost have to happen. How could you be able to fly, have a crush on a cute (and very short) girl, and NOT pick her up and fly her around? And Claire has been living with the burden of being special and unique and having to keep it secret for so long… I enjoyed it. (And maybe part of his power makes it easy to fly with heavy loads.)
I definitely agree that the maya-and-alejandro story needs to go somewhere, anywhere, fast.
When we first saw Niki I was annoyed that she was back and then figured well maybe she’ll only be in one or two episodes but then when they showed us DL’s grave I almost passed out. His death means Niki is going to want revenge and that now she will be in a lot of episodes.
I really hope Flyboy is a bad guy. He annoys the heck right out of me but if he turns into a bad guy then I could probably like the character.
The Wonder Twins are annoying. It looks like anytime Wonder Boy takes the “thing” away from others and thus bringing them back to life it takes a toll on him. Doesn’t Wonder Girl realize that everytime her brother has to reverse her power he loses some of his life-force or whatever and that eventually it’ll kill him. Yeah keep using that power Wonder Girl the sooner you kill your brother the sooner your storyline will end and I will be happy.
I thought that too, in fact I thought I mentioned it upthread.
Oh, I did. Thought so.
I think last night was the first time that she had conscious control over activating her power. She killed the people in the truck while she was panicking after being separated from Zan (I’m sorry, but I can’t remember his name) and then she semi-killed the coyote lady who was ferrying them across the southern Mexico border. Also while in a panic. But I agree with you that I won’t mind at all if their storyline ends soon, but not, of course, before Zan shows some skin.
My guess: he’ll turn up in the New Orleans plotline as Nathan and Peter’s blues-man uncle, Jelly-Belly Petrelli, who has the ability to make his hair become thicker as he ages. He’ll become the significant other of Micah’s great aunt Uhuru in network TV’s first interracial geriatric bondage scene.
You all are a tough crowd. I like the season so far, good stories developing, a big bad in the wings. I didn’t like the start last year either, but it sure ended with a bang!
So, is Sylar going to be present for however long this series lasts? Really should have put an end to that storyline last season; he’s not an interesting enough villain to be the kind you can just never get rid of, like the Joker.
I’m guessing when he starts the Spock movie, his character will go on hiatus. They have a really bad precedent, incidentally, by not letting dead characters be dead (though Sylar’s victims appear to be).
So Nathan Petrelli flies and he mated with a woman who can create fire, and their daughter’s ability is that she regenerates. If she mates with New-Straight-Flying-Zach, I wonder what their offspring’s power would be (since there seems to be no rhyme nor reason in the “evolution” of the powers).
So for those who’ve had teenaged daughters, how many of you would microchip their boyfriends if you could?
I think I read somewhere that he will disappear for a while to go be Mr. Spock and then come back towards the end of the season. As far as future seasons go, if they don’t shape up pretty soon, there won’t be any future seasons.
