Hiro already met the dinosaur… it was in the museum and he walked past it and turned to face it right after he stole the sword.
As I recall, the painting shows Hiro brandishing a sword, with a blade. When Hiro saw the dinosaur in the museum, he was carrying a phony sword with no blade.
The way Mrs. Petrelli talked, telling Claire not to make the mistakes she herself made, I presume she herself has a power. So it seems that perhaps all these heroes all have a hero parent!
A thought; Granny Petrelli has precognition. Peter’s been showing signs of weak precog. of a type different to Isaac’s, and manifested it pretty early in the series. She seems to know quite a lot about people; maybe because of the Haitian, but maybe she’s a precog.?
Another reason we know that the future has been changed: Future Hiro being suprised by present Hiro & Ando (sorry if this has been pointed out already).
Actually, it’s been hinted that Peter got the dreaming pre-cog ability from Simone’s dad, the old guy he was taking care of for a while. This was the first ability that we saw Peter manifest and is why he thought he could fly.
I think Mama might have something more like present-cognition, in that she can see things happening in other places in the present.
AKA remote viewing.
I’m wondering if mayber too much is being read into Claire’s comment that Mama Petrelli is “like her.” Mama Petrelli doesn’t confirm that she has a power or elucidate on what she means by her mistakes. It is possible that she has no power and this is a mislead combined with wishful thinking. Of course my track record on predicting this show isn’t the best.
What would interest me is if Mama Petrelli didn’t have a power but was adjunct to the hero group Linderman talked about. Along the lines of a Lois Lane (or better yet, a Margo Lane, who was less of a wimp than pre-Crisis Lois was) who hung out with the group and was perhaps privy to their secrets. I find that a more compelling idea than she’s yet another hero.
My prediction was correct. I didn’t see the episode until this thread was three pages long.
This weeks comic confirmed what a lot of us already knew.
Save the Cheerleader Save the World™ meant that if Sylar got her powers he would be invincible. Hiro went back to get Peter to save Claire to keep NYC from blowing up. Exploding man was Sylar in his timeline. He couldn’t stop him because Sylar healed himself. Hiro went back and told Peter but when he returned to his time NYC was still blowed up. The timeline changed but the result is the same. When he comes back Hiro discovers Hiro in his loft. Now they have to figure out what goes wrong.
So…
does that mean Simone had a power!!!
Doesn’t everybody?
Her power was to attract and be attracted to other heroes.
