Heroes 4/30

You know, that’s something that keeps confusing me. Everyone keeps referring to it as “the bomb,” but then they talk about it being Sylar or Peter, then they go back to calling it “the bomb.” So which is it, a person blowing up, or a bomb blowing up? What was it about Linderman planning this whole thing? Doesn’t that suggest a bomb, and not a person, or is Linderman working off Isaac’s paintings?

Given that the person ends up exploding, the main defining trait of a bomb, it’s straightforward metonymy to refer to the person himself, in his exploding capacity, as “the bomb”.

Actually, I think you’ve misheard. Up until his fight with Sylar, Peter’s friends called him “Da Bang.”

Ye gods. That pun alone could kill three million people.

Heh - now I have to go listen to the Prince song of the same name.

We’re not putting too much thought into the future stuff, are we? That was all what-if blue-skying, right?

That’s why I feel certain Peter’s not going to survive this season of the show.

Possibly not Nathan either. They’ve so meticulously crafted Nathan’s morally conflicted interiority over the season that a heroic act of self-sacrifice would be the perfect end to his character arc.
