Matt was babbling something about him getting a grant. Finally. Now he can just pimp himself out to department heads and not nefarious evil overlords.

What “before”? Didn’t she survive a fire as an infant thanks to her powers? She just didn’t know she had such powers until shortly before the timeline of the show.
I can think of a better real world parallel. An identical twin pretends to be his brother for purposes of sleeping with a woman.
I firmly believe it was not rape for a host of reasons. In no particular order:
It’s more akin to sleeping with someone who has multiple personality disorder. Unless all consensual sex with such a person is rape, none of it is.
Matt’s wife is aware that Matt is pretty much insane. She consented to have sex with the crazy guy, crazy and all. The fact that he had one of his crazy patches does not invalidate her consent.
I tend to think of “Sylar taking over” as an alcoholic blackout. If Matt were in an alcoholic blackout and had sex with his wife, that wouldn’t be rape either.
Imagine you believed in hypnotic suggestion. Further imagine that a guy was given a hypnotic suggestion to go seduce his wife. The wife loves it. This would no more be rape than what happened to Matt’s wife.
I actually have enjoyed this season of Heroes more than any of the previous ones so far. I think Samuel and the whole Carnival thing is a great new element to the mythos, and I actually like Gretchen and hope that Claire decides to give her a chance (and not just for the titillation factor, Gretchen seems likable to me and none of Claire’s previous love interests seemed likable to me; I absolutely HATED West, for example.) Quite honestly Hiro’s story interests me the least at this point, I want more Carnival time!
Was it just me, or did it seem like the camera during the “Tracy visits the Carnival” scene really strove to show off Ali Larter’s ass? I am NOT complaining, by the way.
Sure, why not, they seemed to cast Pink and Screams based on their ability to wear a t shirt well.

Heeeee! I always had the impression he was kinda smart in his job, but examples are not leaping to mind (except that time he found the gun futurePeter shot Nathan with; but then he woke up in Namibia)
Brain Sylar doesn’t know much, it seems-example A- just what Matt did to his body. He’s rattling around in Matt’s mind, he can’t see Matt’s memories of dumping Nathan into his body? It’s not like Matt’s not thinking about doing that day and night. He keeps pestering Matt to tell him where his body is, Sylar doesn’t know where to look. So, in the meantime, he can hang in LA,screw Janice until he gets sick of her nagging (or just turn her into a Stepford wife for a while, which he’ll bore of quickly) be LA’s assholiest detective, or use the brain mojo to solve big damn crimes.
